I saw the Manband in LA in a ballroom at the Embassy Hotel. '74 I believe. That was right at the time I was starting to become a drummer. Terry had a major influence on that process in me....continues to now. It was Man playing "C'mon" at that show that lit the idea that this is a drummer I need to learn from. A few years later I was closer to the stage when Rockpile played in San Francisco...another four-piece band of some of my favorite musicans. Other drummers I respect rate Terry very highly too.

Saw this show at Winterland in SF opening for Elvis Costello & Mink DeVille was the middle band. Don't know about here but in the US rhey alternated between the show being billed as Nick Lowe or Dave Edmund's. The set list changed depending on who was billed (Nick Lowe for the Winterland show). After the Rockville LP came out I saw them open for Blondie in Oakland

Just as Keith Moon provided The Who's energy, Terry does the same within whichever band he plays (The Straits, Dave Edmunds etc) but, thankfully, without the "Look at Me" mania and random ordnance explosions that were Mooney's trademark!

Excellent rock n roll drummer, nice guy. When he played with the straits he was the only one to believe it was still rock n roll and keep the band and music alive in concert. His work with dave edmunds is great, he gives his best. Terry rules ! Swansea for ever !
