It would have been much easier to have had your hotel arrange to pick you up. It is also possible to book car to collect you via many websites such as Expedia. When my wife and i visited Cairo we arranged a car to pick us up and take us to the Heliopolis Hilton Hotel.

Don't use any "Black Taxi". They are more expensive than the regular taxi. Also tell the to use the meter before you enter the Taxe, othervice it will be really expenssive.

The part next to the beach is not bad, but the city and facilities are desperate. This year, for the first time, our travel agencies here in Serbia are taking a hotel chain from Dubai to this place. But I'm not sure if that city is the right choice.

Oh I guess you didn't understand the video. My friend wasn't trying to chase the elephant away... he was trying to LURE it away from the first overturned tuktuk because two of our friends were still inside. Our mistake, as I've stated repeatedly, was stopping too close to the elephant in the first place.

I had a guy in a shop in Kuta exchanging my USD for Rupiah. Real slight of hand artist. Shuffling back and forth. Rupiah having so many zeros. He scammed me for some relatively minuscule amount in USD, but still it pissed me off. I should have just taken my dollars and ran. 🤪

Yeah that would annoy me very much too. I actively seek the best exchange rate to save a lil money, not get ripped off. Nowadays I check the reviews of exchange offices on Google first. In big cities you can almost always get a really great rate

Last time we went we were delighted at the evening shootings. At sunset, we would watch the ships and submarines full of cocaine sail off for America. Very rich in culture. I recommend a trip inland to Cali as well. Armed guards always create an intense feeling of romanticism.

I went early in the morning but the earlier the better for sure! You can absolutely go to Saqqara in the same day…. Personally a half day was enough at the pyramids
