Keep this one a VX. Find a non VX for the K-Swap. These are rare as they are the super efficient version.

The grey I used on the suspension components was Rustoleum and I think it was metallic charcoal. The wheel paint was VHT Ford Argent Silver

Hopefully someone will chime in cuz I don’t have any info on K swapping a first gen CRV. I think Hasport makes a B series mount kit for you but I don’t know about a K series mount kit.

DO NOT use the royal purple! I had grinds in 2nd and 3rd gear at high RPM, I was about to drop the tranny cuz I thought it might need to be opened up but a good friend of mine suggested I try swapping to OEM Honda trans fluid and to my shock and amazement it solved the problem! I knew the Royal Purple seemed to be too thin when I was putting it in but I always good experiences with their oil so I figured the tranny fluid would be good too..I was very wrong.

Thanks for watching! I hope the videos help with your build. At first I ordered the Ktuned K swap hose kit but I messed up and ordered the K24 hoses instead of K20 so the upper hose didn’t fit, the lower was the same so it still worked. I ended up buying the upper hose by itself on eBay, it’s PQY brand. It is the exact same as the Ktuned quality so I would definitely recommend saving the $$. Their hose kits are designed to go with the half size radiator.

Very cool VX. The original D15Z1 is a great little engine for efficiency if that's your thing. People drive them 600K miles. My son has a 94 and with commuting we could go 10K miles between oil changes because it doesn't get dirty very quickly. It's not slow because it had a lot of miles, that's just how they are. :-) But 45 - 50 mpg on the freeway.

Just binged the entire series and I dig it all man. Nice editing, clean cuts that navigated forward progression nicely 🤙 I started with imports 20 years ago when I started driving and have had a gambit of vehicles types over the years. I’ve got an unhealthy interest for old chevy square body’s but I think I might sell a few things and try to build something fun to drive again like this. Thanks for making the series and good luck on the future endeavors ✊

@@nathanielmarkey8388 mine aren’t Hasport mounts, they’re eBay mounts that I got for free but I used the Hasport instructions because they are basically identical. If you have Hasport their instructions are pretty easy to find but if you give me your email address I’ll send the Hasport instructions I used.

This thing I so clean I have a 95 vx stock 2nd owner but the first owner used it to take to the beach so lots of rust mine has been sitting for a few years after it over heated your videos and gas prices make me want to get it back on the road !

Just bought 750cc for k20a3 in 86 crx set up. Have uninstalled vtec killer cams n rocker arms. Been building project 1 1/2 year, n hoping to get an idea where I'll be. Looks like you got tuned at supra heaven

First thing out of my mouth in the first clip when filming the whole shop was “Supra heaven” I didn’t put in the video just to give them a little bit of privacy but 8x Mk4s and 1x FD RX7. A couple were freshly painted empty shells being restored..it was sick. I’d love to see the crx when you get it going! As long as you have the bolt ons like TB, intake, exhaust, headers, etc you should be close to the same hp with the good tuner and that’s gonna rip in the crx! Keep in mind I did change the pistons to where it makes more compression than a stock k20a3 bottom end so it might be a little bit less but shouldn’t be too much difference.
