Haha yea it's easy to think starting a 3d printing business is good. They work well with one 1 pieces, when you get into making multiple fair sized objects the time it takes to print isn't worth it.

What’s up. My is Jim Beam in Ohio.I have a 1985 362 Pete cabover ,the dash is in rough shape! Could you print the dashboard ,if you could that be awesome because you make fortune .there so many guys looking for good ones and there not around! Don’t know how big you can print but if done in 4 or 5 pieces think it would work. Look forward for your reply

Hey Jim, although printing opens a lot of doors for restoring old metal. It's not practical for printing anything bigger than a hand. For example, those little plugs took 1.5 hours to print. I plan on printing new light bezels, and it's gonna take 3 days for each side. The dash would be multiple pieces. I'd say probably a full week of printing after spending the time engineering it. (That's if none of the prints fail mid way) - I feel it would be a lot easier to find someone willing to make a fiberglass cast or a mold to pour resin. (I'm not setup to do that big of cast) Thanks for the message. Even me saying all of this, there may be someone out there with a big enough printer and the passion to help these older trucks.

But those CL COE tractors are the best looking IMO, next to a 9670 IH or FLB. Where in Canada are you, I saw the Tim Horton's shirt and the accent gives it away, lol. I have a Peterbilt sleeper which I am bringing to Australia, its a 63in from a 379. I will need to modify my roof to make it higher as the opening is higher than the old style holes that are in my truck. Is there any chance you could give me some measurements from your truck please? I need the hole opening size, from the bottom of the sleeper to the bottom of the opening and also from the bottom of the sleeper to the top of the opening between the cab and sleeper. Also what is the spacing between the cab and the sleeper. I can't use the Peterbilt cab brackets as my cab is nearly the same with as the sleeper. Any help is very much appreciated
