  I've never heard of preschools facilitating play dates before. Wait. That's not what it is. It's encouraging parents to let another adult pick up their child because they're you'll be a narrative around the idea that a child might want to go home with another child. That's creepy and a long shot, and if not for the technicality of notification, if it would come off as facilitation of abduction.
