IFS gone MAD: tackling head on the 4WDing general narrative.
4WDing doesn't need to be a 70k-100k rig. And you definitely don't need a SAS or to SEND IT to do hard tracks.
Being IFS I want to show what can be done, the limits of and compromises.
With my 4WD video's, I didn't want to just show quick highlights of a trip.
Everybody does just that. There's more to a track than just the water crossings or rock walls to climb.
I hope to capture the beauty of the whole experience and this is what I want to give to you.

Also anyone wondering what we are talking about with the thong after leaving Pacoes River. He snapped his size 12 thong and I said I know where I can get another (Cape York beaches are covered in them). 30 mins later I find not only the sane brand type and size wtf. Sadly it was the same side as his good one. But re could reverse the strap and it worked in his old thong. A very wtf moment.
Love the Pascoes river. Your son did ok driving too. Bit hard on him lol
Same. Also its just friendly banter.
Have since discovered that both my LCAs were bent in this video causing my car to sag significantly in the front. Making it bottom out easy.
some nice shots of getting the legs in the air.
Bit of a hard track to do for youtube... Its long and you sort of just trudge along but at least its beautiful... But there's a few good spots where you can line up a few deliberate wheel lifts for fun. Being the first time through it. If I do it again theres a few rock crawls I missed that this time id give a go...
SO what part what...and when did it start ????????????????
Sorry I can't read minds...
cool viv guys BUT that music is annoying
Music is a hard one. Not everyone likes the same thing. I actually screwed this one up as there's two copies with the music at different levels. This was the louder of the two. Anyhow it's not to bad but live and learn.
Gruelling please. Great video imagery but what’s with the techno music? So off putting. I couldn’t hear hardly any engine noises, cabin chatter; just the thump, thump, thump, nearly the entire trip. Cheers. 🙏👍🏻🦘
That would depend on your level of experience wouldn't it. For a new 4WDer it would be quite full on and it's definitely the hardest track for the Cape.
noted on the music cheers. Can't please everyone all the time... But could knock it back.
Shared it for you in a few places.
Thank you
That looks really cool, would be fun
It is.
Looks like heaps of fun, my son would love that!
HEAPS of fun
Hopefully it’s more of a challenge when it opens and not just a dirt road
Try driving it when it's raining. Muddies won't even hold you on the track.
Don’t wade that first crossing….croc country….cattle disappear
100%
I swear I can't find the track. Any tips on how to find the track. Cheers much appreciated
If you know where the South Powerlines track is its after the (Short) rock climbs and Bog Holes. Just up the long climb and to the right is the canyon exit or straight ahead at the exit is the Canyon Chicken Track that loops right back to Raaen Rd side Canyon entrance. Entry from the South Raaen Rd entrance.
But its a total mess atm - expect panel damage...
Why would you cockheads run this trail in a cyclone and fuck it up
For one this is in June 2023. The Cyclone was Dec 2024. Please learn to read. Also there's no one driving that track in a Cyclone lmao
I mean DEC 2023
Do you guys want a long long form video of this track. There's about 3.5hrs of vid here for those who REALLY want to see it?
Another AWESOME video. Do you have any other Cape York Vids coming.
Yes a fair few... of different tracks
Will be videos of: Telegraph Old Coach Rd Stones Crossing Frenchmans Hann River Somerset beaches
@@STALKERS4WD great
looking forward too
CREB will eventually be back, completely changed but it will be back again
Eventually but from reports it could be years...
@@STALKERS4WD no, the priority is the Bloomfield track which will open at the end of June...then its on with the rest. I was up there surveying this week..
@@Grahamrjohnson Awesome thats great news....
Nice weather 😅
Yeah it was great lol
I’m not disappointed in the old lux

Its always. A painful sound
Big time. Have been anticipating its demise knowing it was a cheap Chinese unit fitted even though I paid for Nitro...

jump on it guys...
Is your sticker homage to the stalker video games?
Stalker is my nickname but yeah been a fan of the game from when it first came out...
Cool you can keep up with mild jeeps😂
Yeah it is cool... Thanks for watching 😎
Get out of here stalker!
Never
gotta love the hilux
Its a tough little beast... Has definitely surprised me.
That first downhill section 😮
Good fun.
The patrol had some trouble on the first hill climb
It's a bloody steep hill. Some parts were over 45deg. Hence why I slid backwards into the tree smashing my mirror.
nice, good video mate!
Cheers dude.
@@STALKERS4WDtraction control on the front or locked?
@@AllTerrainAction Harrop E-Locker but hate the pin type engagement. Needs an unloaded diff to lock or unlock. I'm definitely going to a Airlocker ARB front (only one made for this diff) and a TJM rear Air Locker (currently a Detroit Eaton constant locker)...
Part 2 will be: Little Red and bonus Commodore Hill Widow Maker Side Step Air Locker
I saw you in brissy 😮
Yeah I'm from there.
Just wanted to be the first person to watch and comment.😂
Lol
That TRD looks BADASS!!
Thanks. Have put a lot of love into it...
I love to please my woman, she doesn't disappoint after
Hell yeah brother😂😂😂
Go the Patrols!!! 🏞️🛻📹🤙😎
They are a great 4wd can't deny...
Go the Patrol! 🏞️🛻📹🤙😎
Definitely agree
Gees you made that look hard.............. but you forgot to mention be aware when you drop into the hole on the left hand side because any low hanging fruit thats unprotected will cop a hit if you don't just gently go down there.
Only way to show the do's and don'ts. Had to show it from the prospective of a stock 4wd. Go have a look at all my videos. There's a few with Canyon and I walk up first time, everytime. Did you not get the point of the video?
Also you shouldn't be going to the left as a beginner. Good chance you'll do damage. This is a video to show beginners how to afterall.
Need a windscreen sponsor! 😅
Funny you say that. New one fitted before this video was released ;)
Music.? Who that band
First song is Cowboys and Aliens second is a band called Sunnata. I listen to a lot of Doom metal and Stoner Rock.
When the loud pedal isnt the answer....
Very really is. Sometimes needed but mostly just a consistent drive will bring it through.
Hopefully it stays dry so I can give it a go in the Territory.
Damn well I've never. Good to see you giving it a go. Yeah definitely do it in the Dry... love the dedication.
