So if I take the tipm out of the van, clean it, and see if it works. I wonder if there is any call backs for the Crystler 2014 town and country, do you know how to find out?

    I have a 2014 Town and Country van. It's started out that the engine light goes on, I did a scan and it said to replace the Cadlic converter. Then after it said to replace the oxygen sensors on the converter. Now the dash lights and on, no blinkers, heated seats don't work, no speedometer, no mileage, no gas signal. Not sure what it is, costing me allot of money just to figure it out. If I clean out the tipm, or replace it, do I have to reset the computer? Plus the lead on the ECMS looks like it might not be on correctly. Could that be the cause???

  • @MCFIXIT
    @MCFIXIT8 күн бұрын

    Hello, your 2014 will be multiple generations newer than 2002 Town & Country. They have changed a lot of the technology and computers since then. This sounds like it's either a wiring issue or computer-related. It's really had to diagnose without being present. These vehicles are known to have both wiring issues and computer issues in most years. I'd definitely look at the leads to your ECM and see if that might be the root cause. Do you have a trusted mechanic in your area?

  • @MCFIXIT
    @MCFIXIT7 күн бұрын

    @@deanjagger1190 That's definitely a good idea. Sometimes these vehicles are plagued with wiring issues. Also check to ensure you have good ground. I don't remember exactly where they are located, but I think there is one under the battery and another on the opposite side of the engine block from there. If not properly grounded, you can experience some issues too.

    Hi Mc Fix it - I am looking at this brand versus a few others for our kitchen / dining areas. How is the Nucore vinyl floor holding up today? Have you had any buckling or separation? Would you still use this brand or perhaps try another one?

  • @MCFIXIT
    @MCFIXIT8 күн бұрын

    Hello, it's a good product and decently easy to install, but there are some separations, which I've fixed already. Also, it can scratch, but not super easily. I don't know if I'd do it in my kitchen because chairs and other things are moved around there often (we've had this issue). I wish we had done wood-grain tile in our kitchen instead of Nucore or any other LVP flooring.

Quick tip, soak the entire canister in a mild Citric Acid and water mix, for 24 hours, rinse and let drip dry for 24. Cleans all the detritus out of the Cyclone cylinders and post canister filters. Edit. How the heck you kept the stickers on that long is beyond amazement.

    "Done" on the odometer is the OBD II diagnostic message. If your "check engine" light is on, you can retrieve the code number by turning the key off/on/off/on several times. You have done this accidentally by trying to start the vehicle. The code(s) will appear on the odometer. After the codes are displayed, or if there are none, the odometer reads "done".

    @MCFIXIT it starts rough idling when you put it in drive and after you've slowed to a stop and begin to accelerate again. It doesn't shake when you slow for like a turn. You have to come to a complete stop, and then when you accelerate to get going again, it starts complaining and moping like a teenager on an early Saturday morning when the yard needs to be mowed.

    Does it actually hit 65°C? And are you able to do a noise check? Curious how loud it is while it’s running. Sounds kind of in the video. I’m currently on the fence looking at a few different options. The Sovol looks nice for a double role but maxes out at 50°C and you need to prop it open to get it to dry correctly. Any thoughts?

    Yes it does. It's got some noise from the machine running, but I wouldn't call it loud by any means.

    This is a really helpful video! While my husband was inserting one of the upper bolts it stripped out. Any recommendations?

    You might have to restore the threads on it and get a new nut that fits it. How did it end up getting stripped?

    @@MCFIXIT The new bolts that came with the struts were just slightly off. Thanks for your advice. My husband went to the auto store and bought a new nut. He was able to get into the upper area and get the old nut off. Problem solved. ☺️

    This is exactly what i did. The retriever with the hook was from aliexpress for about $8. Less than $15 total and it works great.

    That’s awesome. I got my retriever years ago and spend $5 on the suction cup ball. I was able to pull a disc of mine yesterday and it worked awesome again!
