Just watched you at Miller Mountain 2024 . Nascar ain't got nothing on you guys . I can see how 40 or more hp is need to play serious. I had know idea what you put your body or machines through. I'm a big time fan and builder in South Alabama
@@jameshaney1237 heck yeah! Thank you for the support! 40hp is definitely not needed, its crazy cool how much of a level playing field tractors are. You can have $200 in a bare bones mowchine and it will hang with a $2500 mowchine on the trails! More HP the better for mud and hill climbs but sheesh the rest you dont need alot of money to have a blast and hang with us 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Ok i got a question. Would a cub cadet 128 be a decent tractor to build for this? Tractors around here are pricey and i found a 128 "project" in my price range. Great video
@@cloes_Grandpa theyve been used before but due to the weight and cost to actually get them competitive i highly advise against it, a used creeper gearset is 200-250$, and then you need to buy gears to speed up the transaxle

This race was soooo fun! And body beating lol im really glad i was able to make it out to hillside acres! Im really hoping to do a couple more races next year!
What size motor is in that mower anyway for it to preform like that?
Its a stock 16hp vanguard vtwin with straight pipes and the governor bypass, its pulley swapped and will top out around 30-35mph
