  Nair is the best on paper, but fair is far more important. It’s our most used kill move, combo ender, plus the reasons you mentioned. The reason fair is better than bair is because outside of it being slightly faster and safer, you’re able to do fair out of a short hop and you don’t have to turn around where then nair becomes pretty much useless. Bair is auto cancellable only during full hop whereas fair auto cancels in both SH and FH. Basically, Bair is a very good call out tool to get kills with or if you hit something like falling backwards nair -> bair at early % at ledge it puts them into an awful position, however you’d always prefer to use nair plus it can also kill stupid early with stuff like nair run off fair and is great for stage control.

  in my opinion nair is his second best and dtilt is his best, nair can get you some nasty kills but it stops comboing at some point, dtilt not only is way easier to connect than any of his other normals it almost always combos into a special, dtilt weak burn knuckle, dtilt rising tackle and even dtilt buster wolf, it's good for ledgetrapping thanks to auto turn around that allows you to get normal get ups and rolls, a good poking tool too, don't get me wrong nair is still amazing but i find dtilt better

  Next is probably a contender for the best moves in the game from Steve: Create Block / Mine / Craft Building your own platforms is already a super broken ability to extend combos, gimp recoveries, set up walls to punish people for breaking them, etc And you can mine for better tools too like diamond and gold And too craft them next to a crafting table

  It was going to be one of the F-Tilts or Forward Smashes anyway, so... Long paragraphs alert. As for next character it is Steve. The answer for Steve is very convenient to say the least. You see, back in the Olimar episode, Pikmin Pluck could be consider his best move because without it, most of his moves wouldn't function, but we also argued that this answer could be considered lame for similar reasons as why saying a character's best move is up special is lame. So, in another dimension, we could have argued that picking Steve's neutral special is lame because Steve can't do shit without mining, and interacting with the crafting table, which all are made with neutral special. However, instead we are in the dimension where Steve's neutral special, on top of those two things, also places block, and turns out that placing blocks is his best move either way, and gets my vote for the best move in the entire game when judged in context, and even in a vacuum it is easily top 5 at minimum. It's his main tool for preventing the opponent to hit him while he is mining materials, it helps for combos, it gimps people, it helps for recovery (note that one down Henkie), allows for gamebreaking techs... No matter what your perspective on this series is, Neutral Special is definitely Steve's best move.

  Next is the best character in the game: steve, and his best move is neutral special no questions asked, on the ground, you upgrade your weapons, meaning they will deal more damage and knockback, and in the air, you place a block, giving steve an infinite or nearly infinite recovery, and you can also use the blocks as walls or ceilings, so you can either launch them in the wall and combo off of it, or you can throw them in the ceiling you do whit the blocks so you can spike them, and the blocks also allow steve to do ground moves in the air, making his already good combo potential broken, as you can combo up smash into itself whit the blocks, which makes a semi infinite combo (or at least a very very long combo) and you can string up airs and up tilts into itself, litteraly this move alone makes steve the best character in the game, because it upgrades his moveset, it makes steve's combo game super busted to say the least, it can spike (back throw into a ceiling made whit blocks is kind of a spike) it gives steve near infinite recovery, and it's probably the only reason why steve is the best character in the game, because it's so f#%÷#^ broken to say the least. This ridicolously long comment not only said why neutral special is steve's best move, but Also the litteral reason why steve is the best character in the f%#^€&€ game, it's that good, maybe this move is as good if not even more busted than fox's shine in melee

  You didn't even mention that blocks are particularly essential on Steve, because without them Steve would have a way harder time mining materials. There are so many amazing things about this move.

  @@samueltreminivalle3494 idk if he will count mining or crafting, I feel like those might be considered as moves that only provide basic functionality and nothing else, like any up b or Olimar pikmin pluck. With that said, I think block alone is the best move in the game, and if you want to include crafting and mining, then yeah it’s even better

  @@Sticker_By_NCT_127 Eh, I think it’s okay. But I could be biased since I play her. Those options won’t help her when she’s being juggled by most of the cast. Some counterplay free of charge; shield as much as you can. Ram Ram and dragon arm don’t do all that much shield damage. While this will leave you open to her grab, it’s the slowest in the game. You can spot dodge it on reaction. Also notable is if the Min Min commits to attacking with two arms, usually Ram Ram, then dragon, the second punch will leave her in a ton of lag, leaving her a sitting duck. And it goes without saying, but once you get the hit, take it as far as you can. Her options in disadvantage are supremely limited. If your combo isn’t completely true, it’s likely that she’ll throw out a Ram Ram nair. Trying waiting it out and punishing, if at all possible

  As a Byleth main, though I use Bair more, Fair is indeed the better move for those reasons mentioned. I tend to use Fair more to zone against opponents while Bair is more as a way to escape close combat.

  nair is really good but in a match you're not gonna win by running up and nairing people. byleth just isnt fast enough for it. nair covers up a huge potential weakness but fair is what the entire gameplan revolves around.
