"If you can`t do the time, don`t do the crime" is one of the most stupid sayings ever, because it implies that if you *can do* the time, committing a crime is the logical thing to do. The only people who can`t do the time are the ones who are *not really criminal* , at least *not yet* in any case: teenagers convicted of non-violent felonies, for example. Guess who are the ones who have no reason to be particularly afraid of jail and prison ?

The first article of the German Basic Law states: “*Human dignity is inviolable. To respect and protect.” it is the duty of all state authorities.” Most inmates deserve and are given a new chance. In prison you can get a high school diploma and learn a job. Other prisoners can also do their work outside the prison and only come to the prison to sleep and on Sundays and public holidays. (Does not apply to murderers or sex offenders, etc.) In Germany the prison is in state hands and is not aimed at profit. When, like in America, prisoners are treated like dirt Even after discharge, there is little hope of improvement. Despite the “permissive” treatment of prisoners, attacks on guards or prisoners are very rare in Germany and they don’t kill each other, even though there are plenty of “murder weapons.”

I think if you are from the U.S living or traveling to Germany, we don’t have the right to tell Germans what words they can and can’t say. Especially when not knowing the history and origins of the language or word. As well as someone from Germany coming to the states and saying my English words are offensive because they sound so close to their German words. The level of American entitlement is astounding 😅

As a Spanish person who grew up in England (now not part of the EU) I have been living back in Spain for over a year now and my analysis is, that Americans are clearly extremely unhappy with how Americans live (extremely capitalist etc) But them coming to Spain WILL not solve anything, and mainly, if they try to infiltrate a culture. Air B and B´s everywhere because they dont want to go to simple spanish hotels, not yet stylised in the american way´is affecting the hotel industry, which affects our economy AND housing. And food, why is there taco bell in Spain? Mcdonalds is enough, it will be affecting our childrens weight and health next. Romanticising is dangerous in the way that they think they go to a country and continue living how they did but with less worries and problems. Dont live in Europe if you are not ready to take on the countries pros, and cons.

As a content creator myself, I can see your struggle. You seem very much a perfectionist even by the quality of your edits angles and shots which look almost movie level. Make sure you hit a personal satisfaction landmark with your ambition but dont go overboard working on a single video for 400 hours. Just some tips ;) finding that balance is hard but possible imo. I think that any time I have done this, viewers get really bored (maybe I'm boring after all, like the guy said about me in the live stream I did a couple months ago kzread.info4w_ubjziNqk?feature=share ), and they end up clicking away and ruining the impressions of the video, leading to very minimum distribution. I have done quite a few of these and the results are very similar. I mean, maybe I'll go back to it in order to at least help myself be able to upload, but I never have high hopes for these type of vids. Let me ask you, and be honest, how long do YOU typically sit through these typer of vids? Not necessarily MY vids, but ones on YT in general?

@@ChristopherLRussell Well I say stop letting people dictate how you make and produce content. I personally watch 60 mins long video essays if I find the person and topic interesting. Some kids who have low attention spans cant even stand a 3 mins long well edited videos. It is all relative. You are focusing too much on what this or that guy desires. Your number one priority is to get that perfectionist mindset under control. You don't need to perfect edits each sentence illustrating an idea or an interesting angle. It IS more engaging that's for sure but not a show stopper if you don't do it. Do this no edited video but make sure you know the ideas and script well in your head and constantly don't go 'umm'. As long as there is some direction, conclusions and a down to earth sort of conversation, just release it. Don't work on it for 400 hours is what I mean ;) You can make VERY minimal stuff like some music in the background or like 2 edits If you ramble or something. So don't get bogged down in the details. It is all about stopping this perfectionist attitude. I say work on your script. Make like a 5-10 min video and release it with no edits Just try it for a few times.

I see. Good to hear. I have only seen the videos by him that I have reacted to, on my channel. What is it about Jan that you like?

@@ChristopherLRussell I enjoy how he specifically panders to the ideal German status quo of center-directed liberalism. Yes, Germany isn't perfect, and we have many things to improve, but it's nice to be made aware of problems in a way that takes into account that these problems aren't always on one end, or the other end, but can be caused by corruption or mismanagement across any party line. While I am out of the scene when it comes to American political satire, I have the impression that it generally hardlines one specific end of the spectrum. I personally enjoy comedy that both lampoons the AfD as the clowns they are, but is also fine with calling Erdogan a person who has relations with animals. Everybody gets mocked.

To be fair, he is kind of right about German TV. Cable over here kind of stinks. Hell, the only thing I get out of it is the stuff covered by the GEZ, like Jan Böhmermann, the Tagesschau and the World Cup.

I have a Jan Böhmermann vid on the channel too. I didn't know his show was played on German cable, still. Wow.

Fun fact: another term for joint is "Lubitz", as a reference to Andreas Lubitz, a guy who intentionally crashed an airplane into a mountain, killing tons of people. Because you get high, like Andreas Lubitz in his plane. Edgy jokes are international
