Walking R Farms

Walking R Farms

My name is Ryan and I am absolutely not a generational farmer. My wife and I have full time jobs, and very little experience in agriculture, but we want to learn, and share our experience with others who might want to step into this world. You can learn right along with us. We will cover topics like, cattle, chickens, gardening, and fencing. We will also cover the equipment we have, the equipment that we need, and how to maintain it. So, have a seat and let the fun begin.

    Thanks for the video! I have a new 2022 3025 D that the dealer just received due to the supply chain issues the last few years. The picture showing the grease fittings on the tractor itself in the JD Manual are not real clear.

  • @walkingrfarms3847
    @walkingrfarms3847 Жыл бұрын

    You can. It would be considered mob grazing. Just make sure that you watch how much of the grass they are eating. You want them to consume about a third of the blade length, and then move them to the next acre. You also want to make sure you allow enough time between grazing and rest periods. Depending on rain you want to try for 3 times the amount of rest to graze, roughly.

    Thank you for talking candidly about this as my wife and I are wanting to get into a organic…poison free livestock/gardening/ combine with tourist vacation rental venture at some point in a 3 or 4 year time span. We have been researching different channels Joel S, Greg J, Justin R, Living Trad…..etc…all shared experiences are tremendously helpful. We will be at homesteader’s of America conference in Va come October….hope goes well at your new setup in OK….ps, my son just graduated basic in Lawton! Thanks for the video. I have a 2021 3025e, and this helps. They removed the 50 hour service from the manual, but probably best to do it anyway. Looks about the same as the service you just did. Also, I did not know about that trunion zerk--thanks!

    I’m a small engine mechanic and a better way to unplug your grease zerts are to heat them up a bit with butane torch it will loosen the grease easier and won’t scar the ball like scraping it does and also balancing the blades is easy the balancers are cheap and can save your bearings on the deck which are way more expensive than a two dollar balancer

  • @walkingrfarms3847
    @walkingrfarms38473 жыл бұрын

    At the time of the video I only had 3 maybe 5, I don't recall exactly. I have actually since moved to Ok for a larger piece of land. I am up to 10 mama Longhorns, and 12 commercial angus mamas. I didn't move the water, because the following week I set up a center water point that was run off of the well. Unfortunately didn't film that.

    *Сейчас идут разговоры о Карибкий кризис-2 и угрозе предупредительного удара по США?* Америка нагло продвигается на Восток. И технология создания угрозы по применению Ядерного оружия уже использовалась во времена Карибского кризиса. Ядерная война неприемлема ни для кого, американцы тем более это ясно понимали после того, как США сбросили бомбу на Хиросима и Нагасаки и увидели все последствия ядерного взрыва в масштабе хотя бы одной страны. После Карибский кризис 1962 года установился двухполярный мир и США уже не решались внаглую идти против интересов СССР.

  • @walkingrfarms3847

    On the 6 acres I had I only ran about 5 on average. What that means is that throughout the year my counts might go above five, and sometimes drop below. Usually I was around 5. I did have to supplement with some hay, and a little cube though.
