    i try to build my bankroll with microstakes sit and gos but because this format is half dead in poker sites and no one plays them so often in contrast to MTTs and Cash games,I cannot put volume. For example if I play 2$ buy ins only and I am every day at the computer I can play 20 tournaments because there are not many people entering. So I want to ask you,can I make several adjustments to fix that?For example will it help to play a wider ranger of buy ins in this format?there are a lot 0.50$ and 1$ but turbos and some knockout turbo sngs . Will it make sense to play only 0.50-1$ turbos and knockout turbos?will the knockout turbos affect the ROI ,so I only need to play normal turbos? thank you in advance about the great content

    KT @1:45 seems like an obvious fold here? You're behind his range at 32% PFR and we're flatting out of position into the big stack, the play will almost always be fold here on the flop.

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho11 ай бұрын

    It will very often be fold on the flop. Though we are shorthanded and we get 4 to1 odds. It costs only 120 to call a 480 flop. He will miss many flops as well and we will check raise all in on many spots where we hit. He will raise pretty wide on that spot on the bubble.

    Why did you fold the flopped flush in 12:51

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho2 ай бұрын

    It was a flushdraw not a flop. If I were first to speak I would shove any day. Winning about 40% of the time with the flushdraw and overcard if I'm called. Plus big chance he is folding. But now he was pushing. Oddswise it's a call. But those players were so poor so I opted to play and get a better spot later down the road. Against solid players I would call for sure. It is probably right to do so in most cases. Good luck with your play!

    Hard to say it is easier to look at numbers like profit per game. How I play also depends on the payout structure. On some sites it is way better to take risks to win more often than many 2nd and 3rd finishes.

    Thanks again for the video! Regarding low-blind play in micro stakes SNGs, when stacks are still deep, I'm wondering how tightly one should play. I understand that playing very tight is usually being recommended in the video, but oftentimes many players are ready to go all-in (e.g. on the flop) with top pair, middle pair, or even bottom pair. Thus, would it make sense to seize this opportunity (due to huge implied odds) by limping wider (especially in late/middle positions) with e.g. suited connectors, hoping to flop 2-pair or other monster hand. In addition, many players have also other exploitable tendencies, such as fit-or-fold approach on the flop after limping and getting isolated. Of course, playing around with the stack for small gains may also decrease the stack size. What are your thoughts on this? Would it still be more important to secure a decent stack size for a potential double-up?

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho10 ай бұрын

    I would say that depends on the stack sizes. If the stacks are really deep I would really advocate to loosen up in position and exploit their tendencies. Though in most SNGs stack sizes are too shallow to do this. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)

    And regarding your second question. It depends on the stack sizes and opponents. With very deep stacks and poor opponents I will play more like I do in cashgames and raising and isolating weak players when I have position. With hands like 67s, 89s. JTs and all type of speculative hands. But when the stack sizes are pretty shallow as they are online mostly I would play very similiar to as I do in these SNGs. Good luck!

    Thank you for the interesting video. The raise size of QQ on the table at the right at mn 21 i don‘t understand. Another question, why chosing Knock-out SnG? Is this more profitable in the long run with the very tight playing style? I would like to see a video in the future which explains the real impact of Turbo vs normal speed. I feel forced to play Turbos because… All my most preferred Sng on Stars have gone and except one game (1$,45 man) all the other multitable SnG are Turbo now.

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho Жыл бұрын

    Thanks Michael. Yes it got a bit hasty there. Raising to 500 or something would be better to trigger a bluff. A the same time I would shove with hands like AK / AQ because I dont want to give away a flop there out of position. I rather take that nice pot down preflop than putting my self in a really tough spot on the flop. Tough QQ is a bit to strong to just shove there, not giving him room to bluff. If we played the bubble I would leaning more towards making the shove, but even then raising is maybe a better option in most spots. That's the downside of playing several tables and also recording and making commentary at the same time. Sometimes you take the wrong decisions.

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho Жыл бұрын

    I was also more into standard speed SNGs from the start, since the variance is lower. Though you get to play more volume in the turbos so I quickly realiased that was more profitable for me since I got to play more games per hour. Regarding KO or not KO that was just because it a bit more fun to watch I guess. :)

    can you still recommend online poker these days? I mean, after all the scandals (Full Tilt Poker), bots and rigged software, collusion and stuff...is it still possible to make money? I used to play SNGs quite a bit. It is quite time-consuming if you want to be profitable. Also tracking software is nice to have, but you did not seem to have used explicitly in this video. I mean the hands they played, or the way they reacted to your BS attempt, is valuable information even without having the HUD.

  • @pokercoacho
    @pokercoacho Жыл бұрын

    Hi Miro, there is several reasons to play online poker these days. 1, There i value in MTTs and SNGs. Cash games are much tougher nowadays in my opionon but tournaments are still profitable. 2. You also get good practice and can play many hands online. Experience you can then use in live games. 3. Yes I use HUD usually, but I find it more important to use in cashgames. SNGs are more a game of preflop decisions mostly. With that said. It was way easier to earn big and easy bucks in the past. But if you like online poker why not try to get better? :) Thanks for following the channel. Best regards Johan
