Thank you, for this useful information. Was a Life Member of the Continental Airlines Airport Club Lounge and, when they merged with United Airlines, I was sent a Life Membership card for access to the United Airlines Club Lounge. So, I had assumed the employee pensions would have been either honored by United Airlines, or converted to their employee pension company plan. Guess out of my retirement sources: private pension, City pension, annuity, 457, IRA, social security, and personal savings in the form of Certificates of Deposit (CD's) in FDIC banks. Only my CD's are "Guaranteed" Retirement" (smile ... smile).

While CD’s are a great place to get guaranteed protection of principal, they are not a guaranteed source of income, as rates fluctuate and, unfortunately, tend to be low over the longer term.

@@LordandRichards Yes, you are correct. Once the economy falls into a recession (then the Federal Reserve, will drop rates back near zero); or their is a major stock market correction, I will be moving these funds out of CD''s and back into the stock market (smile ... smile).

The S&P500 unfortunately lost 55% top to bottom during the financial collapse that ended March 9, 2009.

Thank you for this because my family believes I'm "robbing from God" When I don't pay tithe.

You’re welcome! We believe although the tithe is a great standard, the real test is your heart to give.

Absolutely agree that prioritizing health is crucial, especially considering the state of our food supply. It's disheartening how the government's representation of nutrition, like the outdated food pyramid, often fails to align with what truly benefits our well-being. Regarding protein, I've shifted my diet towards a more Mediterranean focus. It's worth noting that protein ultimately originates from plants, as animals derive their protein from the plants they consume. For instance, 1 cup of spinach provides 6 grams of protein, while 1 cup of beans offers approximately 15 grams. Personally, adopting a more vegetarian approach has yielded better health outcomes and workout performance compared to a heavier meat-centric diet. It's also interesting to observe the muscularity of animals like elephants and gorillas, who thrive on plant-based diets despite their massive muscle mass (elephants, for example, maintain only around 9% body fat). Ultimately for me, cutting out processed sugars, refined wheat, and alcohol while incorporating 30 minutes of daily exercise can lead to transformative differences in one's health. -Keith
