As a hut owner at the Naze, truly interesting & extremely well done! Thank you. 👍
Love this! It's my home town
Absolutely remember playing under the chalets. The smell of Jayes fluid, and the cart into which all the latrines were emptied. Went in the mid to late 60's. There were water taps along the street and everyone had tall plastic water carriers with taps at the bottom. They were very 1960's in design. I think some of those chalets barely had electricity.
I believe Len was a bus driver, and used to operate his Punch and Judy stand in between shifts. He did a magic show in the evenings too, at local theatres.
Tivoli arcade used to love that place!!
I wish things could have stayed the same. Progress isn't necessarily a good thing. I remember going to the little zoo as a small boy and only now I realise this must have been the one. I remember it was somewhere around Clacton or Walton on the Naze. It has to be this place. We had very little back then but by God we had fun, love and happiness.
Love jaywick
Fascinating stuff
Wonderful! Thank you for the memories!
