This was an earworm. I think!? But I was hearing it in Natalie Imbruglia's voice , did she cover it!? There's nothing wrong with deep. People used to call it me as a criticism, in the 80s and 90s. For thought about ruminations. My brother's still do. It makes me sad that it's so sort of violent an image, maybe people trying too hard to make her conform to a certain kind of knowledge (I'm not a Marxist or a theologian or philosopher even though I am because it's a bit dusty and I have a different approach than most traditional teachers and students, there's guy classics versions of the same sentiments that were in big films, so equality I guess but this also feels like an antifeminist tradwife anthem even though it's not. Like Gaston from Disney's Beauty and the Beast - although he'd never advocate others choking him, not without correcting to "if you think you can!" That image feels like an end of the rope despair of trying to head off common problems where things get painful when she gets too deep and I am not sure if that's her fault. I think she might have had abusive snotty people around and reacted against it. Maybe even she was an AuDHDer like me, because her general vibe feels very relatable even if I don't like that line. Complex. I think this was an earworm because encouraged by Hank Green I was struggling to double down on admitting things I don't know and when we're wrong.

'religion is a smile on a dog' is intended to degrade religion - to the small petty minded. But, as an example of God's love it actually is proof of God. Could evolution put so much love and devotion in an animal?

I know no one will ever read, let alone, care for what i have to say. Male empath here, all my life, born an empath. Anyone who's an empath can literally FEEL the sadness in music / art / writing, etc. No, not feel --- BECOME!! This is such a beautiful and sad song. I know many will say it sounds happy. Trust me, when you know, you know. Let me put it this way: when you're sensitive, and see just how TERRIFYING it is knowing how family narcissistic affects someone else, trust me, not only do you know, this DESTROYS any childhood you could possibly have, NO MATTER how young you are! I hear that and more in this song and the lyrics. I bet Edie was forced to deal with things most people could not even POSSIBLY survive, let alone go on to express. What a wonderful Lady, and her band as well!! She is so expressive and artistic! Also a singer and musician myself as well. God Bless to those who simply know the truth of how it is
