    The weld-on piece works great. There was an outfit in Florida that sold a similar product some years ago. Installation was straight forward enough and a pro did the welding job on mine. A really wonderful solution to a common rust belt problem.

    hello kent im having issues with my m102 engine. I changed the fuel filter and fuel pump. the engine starts but i have to press the pedal down for it to run. if i let the pedal go the car shuts down. it starts but shuts down. it wont idle on its own. when i keep the engine running it runs rough im kinda frustrated and i think that the accumulator is bad.

  • @Mercedessource
    @Mercedessource19 сағат бұрын

    The problem Is not the accumulator. Failure shows up with starting problems. I believe you have a fuel pressure / fuel mixture problem. I recommend don't "throw parts at it" until you do a full fuel system pressure test.

    @@Mercedessource I found the problem, fuel and spark was ok. It was a leaky hose causing my engine to not run. the part number on the hose was 102 094 25 87, its now fixed and the engine runs perfect. the engine is low km only 180 000. your videos are the best when it comes to old mercedes content, thanks for taking the time to answer me. peace from Norway

    Had the front sway bar fail on my W126. It sure makes for interesting handling!! The weld on ends saved it. The suspension doesn't drop, but the wheel isn't held properly laterally. When it happens it's like driving on a water bed. Next time I'm up in Bellingham you're welcome to take a peek if you want!

  • @Mercedessource

    If you pull the front tire and look under the fender the end of the sway bar is right there. Plenty of room to work around it for the repair.

    HI there Kent, I am the least mechanically minded person under the sun. The way you explain so well and show just simply how to go about a job makes me just want to climb in with some spanners. Thank you for your time and dedication to your channel. Fuel is expensive in South Africa this is why I love the W123 300D and 240D's so much. Also, they give really nice driving experience. What a coincidense, never knew that mb-tex seats have that kind of difference. Everyday you learn new stuff huh.

    I personally do not mind. If you have been around the W123 you have to admit the 1985 seats are way more comfortable than the 1977 seats - especially if the fiber padding has started to turn into shredded wheat!

    Hi Kent, firstly warm greetings from germany to you! I have noticed that you have the W211 with the panoramic roof, so I do. Unfortunately I have some wind noise coming through the roof and I recently tried to adjust it according to the official WIS documents. However, these documents are not the easiest to understand because they are outdated and it doesn't specify, for example, the gaps between the wind deflector and the main roof element, it just specifies the height adjustment. Would be really great if you would find the time to make a video on how to correctly adjust and also lubricate those kind of roofs - that would be a real benefit for many people out there I suppose since there's no information on how to adjust these at all in the internet. Thank you in advance and kind regards!

    Mine somehow leaks in from the back windows seal. The frame is somehow the exact same size as the windows glass itself or something, and the seal makes it sit slightly off. Two glass places couldn't get it to sit right...what do?

    Had the same problem at the same spot on my W123. The seal didn’t fix it, though. There was still water ingress into the trunk. Then I discovered that the lens was broken right at the top. So I got myself a new lens and now it is as tight as it gets!

    I had this problem on my Honda Accord. Water was mysteriously collecting in the spare tire well after a heavy rain. I pulled one of the inner tail light bulbs and found the housing full of water. I wound up getting a used pair of inner tail light housings from another car and it fixed the problem.
