  My kit came with some hackle feathers labeled H.D. Cape DK Dun #14. What is that supposed to be used for? It looks like this fly uses foam instead of hackle? @postflybox

  It’s a nice looking fly. Does it ride right? I always find flat-sided flies like that turn on their side when retrieved. Tight lines buddy!!!

  One more thing, it’s important to file off the sharp edges on the ends of the bead chain eyes, keeps your tippet from being damaged.

  Not the best but remember you are trying to trick an animal with a brain the size of a pea. Perfectly manicured flies catch fishermen not fish.

  Yes. Huge bummer we worked with him for 5 or 6 years and they just sort of said they were done without any warning. We are on the hunt for another professional to do these, but in the meantime are doing the best we can DIY'ing them.

  Really need to fix your online store. I went to place an order before Christmas, I’ve ordered before and have an account, continued to error saying my email address was incorrect even though I was logged in. At new years tried again to order an annual guide box and the discount code would not work. Gave up. Don’t know that I’ll try a third time.

  It’s a very effective pattern. I use it mostly in high or dirty water as a attractor mostly as my anchor fly but I tie mine on jig hooks or use a heavy wire barbless comp hook with inverting bead.
