  Thank you! The wrench in this video is the Bionic 1/2" & 1/4" Wrench and on the Pilot Pivot Pin Nut the 1/2" side is being used.

  Is there any difference between the boardwalks and the boardwalk plus? Only thing I could tell from the pictures is the plus has a cheaper lining and comes in bigger sizes (and no cute color options)

  Actually, the Plus has updated lining with padding and a rolled collar. The normal Boardwalk skates don't have a lining they just have the leather you see on the outside. So they're just a little more comfortable and with a bit more sizing, and in the larger sizes (14 and 15) they come with a metal plate.

  So, the outsole of the boot is made of cemented rubber, and plates should always be riveted or screwed to the boots. I have never seen a plate glued to a boot but the most common way to mount a boot is with screws.

  I currently have the old quadstars size 5 and was able to try on a different pair of bonts, same size. Well I just ordered the new quadstars(size 5) featured in this video and feel that they are just a tad too big even with laces. Not sure if I should size down to 4.5z

  Little additional information from an inline skater, who just bought one of these: before trying these, I tought I hate quads, but these feel completely different than the general (rental) raised heel quad skates. It did not feel as far from inlines as you would imagine and was really easy to adapt to it. So far I really like em.

  No, they are true to your foot measurement size! I just tried that size because it was too small and to see if it fit well, I prefer a tighter fit on my skates to get a more reactive feel so for me I liked the size down but the size up would be true to my size 🤗

  I don't do derby but I've gone from an artistic skate to bont parkstars that I know have 20 degree kingpin, I feel more stable on the 20 degree but doing anything on the rink takes more effort than it did on my artistic skates. Can you explain why thats the case? I know this is a derby channel but I can't find anyone talking about the differences for general skating 😅

  I think that may have more to do with your heels! The artistic skate probably had a heel right? Without heels, the Parkstars put you in a more bent/aggressive stance that is better for your ankles on impact but for rinks, the heels give you a better balance and posture for dancing. It's all preference though!

  @@alice_mation yes :) They make your balance feel more natural with the wheels. The plates are also likely 10 degrees on the artistic skate which is just more stable. The larger the angle the more agile they will feel.

  Are these compatible with Reactor Neo plates? Am i going to have to drill the pivot cup hole latger to fit the pivot cups provided with the hucks?

  They are compatible with the Reactor Neo plates, no need to switch out the pivot cups with the ones provided with the Huck Trucks because the Huck pivot arms fit in the Reactor Neo plates.   They are universal in a sense! They are perfect on 10-degree angle kingpins but they can be bent to suit a 20-degree angle so it just depends on what plates you have but most outdoor skates come with a 10-15-degree angled plate

  my reactor pro pivot pins came with a heavy layer of loctite on them. I cleaned them all off to make adjustments easier and tightened the locknut down. Later on, someone told me that the blue loctite was necessary. Do i need to reapply the loctite? figured the locknut would be enough.

  They are similar as they are both made for outdoor skating but the key differences are that the Riedell Crew have leather in their boots and they have a nylon plate while the Bunny's are vegan and have a metal plate. The Crew has a slightly harder and larger wheel and slightly higher rated bearing. Either is a great option for beginners but the Bunny's are a bit easier to get into with the rolled collar in the back and a softer wheel that's better for outdoor skating.

  You can use almost any bearing removal tool and it'll work if you use it at the right angle it just may take a bit of finessing.
