  I am sorry the officer was injured, but it also shows a two-tiered medical rescue system that is only for the benefit of public employees. I cant think of one time that the CHP has closed both ways on a major freeway for a regular citizen involved in a traffic collision for a helicopter to land that was publicly owned. NEVER .... Why dont regular injured people get such special emergency service from publicly owned helicopters? I am sure some of their injuries are worse than this officer.

  That’s actually not true they do it all the time you just don’t hear about it all the time. It happens in Palmdale Lancaster, Santa Clarita area, where hospitals are a little bit further than down here in the cities.

  You know NOTHING about crash and you say this? I'm so sick of people that say idiotic things like this. Maybe the trucker changed lanes illegally when he shouldn't have, maybe the lights were not working on the trailer, maybe the car experienced a problem? Or maybe a hundred other reasons that weren't the car drivers fault? Granted, maybe they were being stupid, but maybe not. And what if this was your kid - would still say this ridiculous statement? What an @$$.

  what they consider a d.o.t. bumper is made out of fairly light weight material, its main purpose is to provide a step for climbing into the trailer. It's best to keep yourself out from under the trailer.
