Hope you are enjoying your adventure! I used to live in that region of Andalusia for 12 years so quite familiar with albox, mojacar, and surrounding areas, we moved to villamartin 7 years ago and as far as location is concerned we much prefer it here. (Thats my personal opinion of course) Easy to find a fantastic value for money property inland, but then if you decide its not for you after a couple of years you may find it hard to sell so you may be stuck there longer than you want to be. @@alisonhowarth6871 thank you, that’s great advise, i think I’m not so keen on being closed i with neighbours although of course the big thing here is you are more isolated. I has a meal in Villamartin Plaza before i set off for this area, very nice including Edwardos bar 👍
On entering that bakery shop it appears you are looking for England in the sun. It is not worth moving abroad unless you integrate and learn the language to appreciate the different lifestyle . An English ghetto abroad is just like an immigrant ghetto in the UK. Closed to all things unknown. Sorry to be so pessimistic for you.

A really nice place you might consider is LA ALCAZARES IN MURCIA VERY REASONABLE PRICED PROPERTIES WITH LOVELY BEACH AND MANY EATING PLACES AND A VERY COMPACT TOWN AND THE MAIN THINK IS ITS NICE AND FLAT AND EVERY THINK IS CLOSE TO ONE ANOTHER

Love watching your channel! I could see how happy you were living in Soho, and I think that was because of the community around you. It was buzzing and friendly, a great community, and you could dip in and out as you wanted. I know Soho isn't an option now cost wise, but there are a few quirky towns in the southeast of the UK that might be worth a look. You could still spend your winters in Thailand and have a base in UK, with easy commute to Soho! Just a thought! Good luck!

I am assuming it was a brit bar that you got bad service? Stay positive and get into an estate agent. Get some viewings booked, that will expand your outlook.

It is a good location. I had it noted down. Some nice golf estates about 20 mins away.

You need to go into estate agent and get their experienced view on what and where you have hopes for. They will give you good feedback about the house and distance options for your budget.

If you're going to Almeria, about 30 mins west , on the coast is a lovely place, Roquetas De Mar. It's a holiday resort we did about 5 years ago. Twas really nice. I mention it only because I know there was a big ex pat community. Btw ....we live next to the beach and it was cheaper than living inland. You'd be surprised in the UK.

@@quizzmistress ah, welcome. Then you can rent it out if your not there, if i was living pretty much full time i would not rent and want more space, including maybe a swimming pool which you get being further away from the beach 👍

stayed in the bay breeze for a month when it was retox/gane on, never been in since it became Hemmingways and looking at this there is no way i will be, i detest having to order my food from a tablet, it is SO impersonel there are many restaurants offering far better service without having to go technical
@@tonymatthews2344 you don’t have to order on the tablet but it’s a great way to see the food I think. They always have waiter/waitress staff who are fantastic. I got to know some of the staff really well. Personally I think your missing out
hi, newly subscribed, looks nice, especially the rooftop pool, have you looked at Vogue hotel on soi Lenkee, great views over the city and pools, close to the heart of the action and for a four star hotel it's very cheap (around £23 a night if you book through expedia) three pools but they are ground floor rather than rooftop

I think a property with a pool has more maintenance but the privacy it affords is probably worth it. I think the lifestyle will suit u. I think going and seeing the areas is a good idea as u can get a feel for a place and how it would work practically. I'm definitely looking forward to ur vlogs xx
Yeh, canvases my only home having communal pool or even an attached property. Sounds a bit snobbish but I know what I like & what I could be happy living in

Correct on both accounts, I’m off to Lanzarote on 14th July and of course Soho will drain my money quicker, but I never swim in the sea so beaches are not that important to me 👍

Bad comparison for the UK I live 6 miles from Didcot and take away the new pedestrian precinct it's a dump always has been.So many new houses and not the infrastructure to cope.
Yes I agree in some ways, but it does have the new centre now & new infrastructure is being built all the time, plus there’s a great train link out of Didcot 👍 In the 70’s & 80’s it was just a huge council town, Abingdon was the place to go, now those roles have been reversed
Try and learn Thai. I realise English - or American - is a universal language but I think you’d find it good to do. If you’re going to live somewhere you want to make it your home as much as you can.
Good luck learning Thai ,must be even harder to be able to read it.
Yes, a friend is currently doing a one to one set of lessons, he’s doing pretty good but reading or spelling ! Maybe not. Great idea though
