  Have you tried, a thin coat of enamel undercoat . The back side could have been exposed to a high amount of moisture.

  I am old and out of time to learn to play with good pitch, but one of these fine fretted fiddles has made it possible to learn to play like a youngster. The craftsman also supported my daring project with helpful information, encouragement and advice. Don't wait until you hear them talking about putting you in a box. A fretted violin can buy back a lot of that time you wanted to spend learning music.🎻

  I enjoy the short vids, but did also enjoy your longer format vids as well, and the couple vids you made regarding your process of making your style of fiddles. Keep up the good work! I hope you are able to post some more longer format vids again.
