So basically in the beginning Sunghoon won by choosing rock when everyone else chose scissors, so he got the chance to confess to Chole. In the MV we saw how they would have confessed to her if they won the game which was not REALITY yet. At the end when the screen zoomed-out then Jungwon as well as the members regained after looking into the FUTURE. So when they actually played the game ALL OF THEM chose ROCK except Ni-ki cause he knew everyone looked into the future and thus wanting the fate for themselves but Ni-ki outsmarted them by throwing a paper. In the ending scene, we saw Chloe in the car.He already confessed to her when the line says "Just say O babe" as he was mouthing it. So Ni-ki was smirking cause he successfully had what’s supposed to be Sunghoon's fate to be his. It was Romance Untold as the rest of them never got a chance to express what they really feel for Chloe except for Ni-ki.

When newjeans do a 2 part video its going to based in heavy story, lore and metaphor... they have done this before with other 2 part videos.. the song is the same... but in this case this is fully korean/english version and doesnt contain any japanese. heres what i think is going on and moreso with the metaphor... i hope you dont mind a bit of a read :P They are all aliens..... the bit where haerin and minji run off set after haerin seemingly accidently uses her powers causing everything to shut down is possibly the moment that they got exposed as aliens.. now the humans are after them... so now they need to leave back to their home planet... Hyein is the problem as she doesnt want to leave as shes fallen for the boy... the argument at the start is hanni saying we have to leave right now.. minji argues we 5 are 1 meaning they arent leaving without Hyein. (when she says we are bound to each other i dont think its in a literal sense... more in metaphorical way like.. newjeans arent complete unless all 5 are together) This is why Minji is constantly trying to split the two up... the conversation on the boat between Minji and Hyein seems to convince Hyein to leave with them as after we see bunny hyein holding onto minjis hand as she leads hyein onto their spaceship. Also being aliens i believe is a metaphor for idol life 'idols' are continually under scrutiny from the fans and the slightest mistake (haerin makes the 'mistake' of accidentally revealing her powers to humans) and the netizens (or humans) are attacking them with hate... and also (most) idols cant just jump into a relationship whenever they like as us 'normal' people can.. they have to comply to a certain image and also relationships could lead to a lack of focus in their duties as an idol and extreme situations like leaving the group.. in the video hyein is prepared to leave the group and stay on earth with the boy... again minji we 5 are 1 is not going to let this happen. Its a take on the importance of idol groups staying together and having only each oher to depend and rely on. The we 5 are 1 thing is probably also alluding to them performing as a 4some recently for quite some time while hyein was out.. saying weve been incomplete without her or something along those lines. (depending on when this video shoot was completed of course) Theres something going on with the throwing of the cans as well.. are they beer cans? does the boy have a drinking problem? is that what minji points out to hyein on the boat and hyein sees it for herself.. is that what convinces her to leave him? i think this may be the case but newjeans all being under 21 can't be promoting underage drinking so i think they rather just alluded to it... the official stance on it is he is 'littering' but he does look kind of drunk on the boat. Also Danielle has storm powers so she is manipulating the weather so she can live on earth as a succesful weather girl (theres probably metaphor in there but i havent figred that one out, maybe something to do with how the idols we see on screen can manipulate us into thinking they are something that in reality and off screen they arent... i dunno) Also you should have had subs on if only doing the 1 view... it makes a lot more sense with them.

That’s all very cool! I do remember New Jeans doing part 2 in the past but couldn’t remember exactly how they do it. I love the band’s music but still am new to their storyline but I love deep diving into it, so thanks for the info! I also would’ve normally done a second watch with subs but decided not to bc it was a continuation of the story. But yes, it probably would’ve helped when they were talking, had I known there was going to be talking I probably would’ve added subs!

Thank you, I enjoyed watching your reaction and fondness for Shotaro and all of the RIIZE members! Really appreciate the Seunghan shout-out too!! If you notice, Boom Boom Bass, and even Love 119's, choreo was designed for 7 members, so I am still hopeful that Seunghan will return to active status soon. I also feel like I saw Impossible's choreo designed for a 7th member to be easily integrated as well. I'm so proud that the guys continue to persevere through the adversity of privacy invasions, false accusations and unwarranted hate and lies they've received. They continue to grow, delivering new and entertaining sounds and moves and have continued on their trajectory of success, let's just hope SM does the right thing and let's Seunghan be a part of that again. Although I like many groups who have some really good choreo, RIIZE is THAT group that I actually look forward to seeing their choreo just as much as hearing any new release. There's so much enjoyment in their choreo design (details, transitions, difficulty, genre(s), etc.) and execution (each members skills, personality, musicality, growth, etc.).

I love watching anything RIIZE does and have fallen hard for them as a group super quickly, it’s kind of crazy! I kind of compare it to how I became a fan of TxT. I wish them the best and will always showcase their comebacks bc I just love their music and style so much!

Even though it sounds cliche, I know it happened because of them as whole vs. just the music or choreo, etc. or even visuals, since people seem to comment on that the most with this group. ALL their songs are 90s genres... from 90s RnB to their club variants which were also 90s like miami bass and new jack swing and their more traditional clubland sounds of UK Garage, Drum and Bass and Jersey club ... all 90s. its not a vibe they are going for just this comeback but its the same vibe they have always had from the start... its the reason they are my faves.. literally everything they do is nostalgic for me and all the genres i loved growing up from around 12 to early 20s (yes im an oldie 😀) even right now is late 90s drum and bass (though a softer mellower version) think the likes of roni size or goldie... ETA as well is baltimore club most popular during early to mid 90s ... They Cover a lot of genres but if you were to put it all in one there genre would be ..90s music :P

IT DOES GET THAT WEIRD lol and IT IS LIKE DONNIE DARKO :P my theory in short is the Bunny is Hyeins true alien form (from the bunny shaped ufo).. hyein is her human disguise but for some reason only the boy can see her as no one else interacts with her entire video. Bunnys creepy look reminds me of Frank the Rabbit from the movie 'donnie darko' in that movie frank is a supernatural entity who only donnie can see.. much like only the boy can see hyein... the film is also about time travel and if you watch closely the dance scenes keep flipping from 80s to present day with the mics being switched for smartphones 4:45. The lyrics suggest a relationship being 'supernatural' possibly alluding to the boy and alien bunny hyein. Theres a scene if you pause quickly where hyein is seen looking 'ghostly' sitting to the left of the screen holding an alien 6:24 . Minji, Haerin, Hanni, Dani and 'the guy' seem to be paranormal investigators of sorts as at the start they get out of a van laden with equipment on top and 'supernatural' written on it along with logo (like the ghostbusters ecto-1 car).. its likely they are investigating the supernatural goings on in the city with the strange weather, zebra unicorn and UFO activity... thats my short version theory. we will find out more later when part 2 is released... Edit: yes hyein being injured is the real reason but its clever how they used that to make her the main character and make a lore based video centred around being a bunny alien :P

New Jack Swing of late 80s to early 90s... sound, choreo and styling very reminiscent of bel biv devoe or new edition... the song itself reminds and sounds to me a lot like bobby brown 'every little step' (maybe thats what you were thinking of) although you are right when you say janet jackson vibes as 'control' was one of the first albums considered to have new jack swing elements... but for me it sounds more like the slightly later sounds of bobby brown or bel biv devoe. In reality though it samples a Pharrell Williams produced tune by manami called 'back of my mind' (you can hear his adlibs in the backgrond which he changed to fit in with this song)

Correction for lines and adlibs again 😅 In Sweat, the second post-chorus is brrup ba ba ba dum is Yujin's and then Hao then goes Yujin again then Hao then Yujin. The last "sweat sweat" is Hao's line. The first one is Hanbin's.

Correction for Sunday Ride Lines and Adlibs: The baby, baby part is lead by a member. First chorus: Gunwook then Taerae Second Chorus: Hao then Yujin Final Chorus: Hanbin then Matthew Matthew's part before second prechorus is sung by two members alternately (Matthew and maybe Gunwook) The adlibs from the final chorus is Hao's (?) (Many agrees in this and I can hear it as well. Let's just see when they perform it live)

In Feel the POP, there are certain lines that are wrong (Lyric Video Creator's Fault). I'll just list it all down. For the Pre-Chorus, it's Ricky then Hanbin (they're harmonizing with themselves in their parts). Gunwook is the one doing the adlibs in the first Chorus. The "i do care" and "everyday" line is Matthew's adlibs/lines. In the second prechorus, it's Yujin then Taerae (they're still harmonizing with themselves not with each other. In the second chorus, Yujin is the one doing the adlibs. In the final chorus, Hao's doing the first adlib, then Matthew does the adlib towards the outro.

Hyein is the problem as she doesnt want to leave as shes fallen for the boy... the argument at the start is hanni saying we have to leave right now.. minji argues we 5 are 1 meaning they arent leaving without Hyein. (when she says we are bound to each other i dont think its in a literal sense... more in metaphorical way like.. newjeans arent complete unless all 5 are together) This is why Minji is constantly trying to split the two up... the conversation on the boat between Minji and Hyein seems to convince Hyein to leave with them as after we see bunny hyein holding onto minjis hand as she leads hyein onto their spaceship. Also being aliens i believe is a metaphor for idol life 'idols' are continually under scrutiny from the fans and the slightest mistake (haerin makes the 'mistake' of accidentally revealing her powers to humans) and the netizens (or humans) are attacking them with hate... and also (most) idols cant just jump into a relationship whenever they like as us 'normal' people can.. they have to comply to a certain image and also relationships could lead to a lack of focus in their duties as an idol and extreme situations like leaving the group.. in the video hyein is prepared to leave the group and stay on earth with the boy... again minji we 5 are 1 is not going to let this happen. Its a take on the importance of idol groups staying together and having only each oher to depend and rely on. The we 5 are 1 thing is probably also alluding to them performing as a 4some recently for quite some time while hyein was out.. saying weve been incomplete without her or something along those lines. (depending on when this video shoot was completed of course) Theres something going on with the throwing of the cans as well.. are they beer cans? does the boy have a drinking problem? is that what minji points out to hyein on the boat and hyein sees it for herself.. is that what convinces her to leave him? i think this may be the case but newjeans all being under 21 can't be promoting underage drinking so i think they rather just alluded to it... the official stance on it is he is 'littering' but he does look kind of drunk on the boat. Also Danielle has storm powers so she is manipulating the weather so she can live on earth as a succesful weather girl (theres probably metaphor in there but i havent figred that one out, maybe something to do with how the idols we see on screen can manipulate us into thinking they are something that in reality and off screen they arent... i dunno) Also you should have had subs on if only doing the 1 view... it makes a lot more sense with them.
That’s all very cool! I do remember New Jeans doing part 2 in the past but couldn’t remember exactly how they do it. I love the band’s music but still am new to their storyline but I love deep diving into it, so thanks for the info! I also would’ve normally done a second watch with subs but decided not to bc it was a continuation of the story. But yes, it probably would’ve helped when they were talking, had I known there was going to be talking I probably would’ve added subs!
And… I guess I should preface about “new to their storyline” I really meant I feel like they play a lot with different storylines and never stay on the same track… for instance “Cool w/ You” was based on Cupid and Psyche.

Thank you, I enjoyed watching your reaction and fondness for Shotaro and all of the RIIZE members! Really appreciate the Seunghan shout-out too!! If you notice, Boom Boom Bass, and even Love 119's, choreo was designed for 7 members, so I am still hopeful that Seunghan will return to active status soon. I also feel like I saw Impossible's choreo designed for a 7th member to be easily integrated as well. I'm so proud that the guys continue to persevere through the adversity of privacy invasions, false accusations and unwarranted hate and lies they've received. They continue to grow, delivering new and entertaining sounds and moves and have continued on their trajectory of success, let's just hope SM does the right thing and let's Seunghan be a part of that again. Although I like many groups who have some really good choreo, RIIZE is THAT group that I actually look forward to seeing their choreo just as much as hearing any new release. There's so much enjoyment in their choreo design (details, transitions, difficulty, genre(s), etc.) and execution (each members skills, personality, musicality, growth, etc.).

ALL their songs are 90s genres... from 90s RnB to their club variants which were also 90s like miami bass and new jack swing and their more traditional clubland sounds of UK Garage, Drum and Bass and Jersey club ... all 90s. its not a vibe they are going for just this comeback but its the same vibe they have always had from the start... its the reason they are my faves.. literally everything they do is nostalgic for me and all the genres i loved growing up from around 12 to early 20s (yes im an oldie 😀) even right now is late 90s drum and bass (though a softer mellower version) think the likes of roni size or goldie... ETA as well is baltimore club most popular during early to mid 90s ... They Cover a lot of genres but if you were to put it all in one there genre would be ..90s music :P

IT DOES GET THAT WEIRD lol and IT IS LIKE DONNIE DARKO :P my theory in short is the Bunny is Hyeins true alien form (from the bunny shaped ufo).. hyein is her human disguise but for some reason only the boy can see her as no one else interacts with her entire video. Bunnys creepy look reminds me of Frank the Rabbit from the movie 'donnie darko' in that movie frank is a supernatural entity who only donnie can see.. much like only the boy can see hyein... the film is also about time travel and if you watch closely the dance scenes keep flipping from 80s to present day with the mics being switched for smartphones 4:45. The lyrics suggest a relationship being 'supernatural' possibly alluding to the boy and alien bunny hyein. Theres a scene if you pause quickly where hyein is seen looking 'ghostly' sitting to the left of the screen holding an alien 6:24 . Minji, Haerin, Hanni, Dani and 'the guy' seem to be paranormal investigators of sorts as at the start they get out of a van laden with equipment on top and 'supernatural' written on it along with logo (like the ghostbusters ecto-1 car).. its likely they are investigating the supernatural goings on in the city with the strange weather, zebra unicorn and UFO activity... thats my short version theory. we will find out more later when part 2 is released... Edit: yes hyein being injured is the real reason but its clever how they used that to make her the main character and make a lore based video centred around being a bunny alien :P
New Jack Swing of late 80s to early 90s... sound, choreo and styling very reminiscent of bel biv devoe or new edition... the song itself reminds and sounds to me a lot like bobby brown 'every little step' (maybe thats what you were thinking of) although you are right when you say janet jackson vibes as 'control' was one of the first albums considered to have new jack swing elements... but for me it sounds more like the slightly later sounds of bobby brown or bel biv devoe. In reality though it samples a Pharrell Williams produced tune by manami called 'back of my mind' (you can hear his adlibs in the backgrond which he changed to fit in with this song)

Correction for lines and adlibs again 😅 In Sweat, the second post-chorus is brrup ba ba ba dum is Yujin's and then Hao then goes Yujin again then Hao then Yujin. The last "sweat sweat" is Hao's line. The first one is Hanbin's.
Correction for Sunday Ride Lines and Adlibs: The baby, baby part is lead by a member. First chorus: Gunwook then Taerae Second Chorus: Hao then Yujin Final Chorus: Hanbin then Matthew Matthew's part before second prechorus is sung by two members alternately (Matthew and maybe Gunwook) The adlibs from the final chorus is Hao's (?) (Many agrees in this and I can hear it as well. Let's just see when they perform it live)
In HELLO, Hanbin harmonizes with Taerae in the first verse. That line that you point out as pretty sounding is sung by Matthew, not Gunwook. Taerae is harmonizing with Ricky in the second verse.
I thought it sounded like Matthew when watching the music video a second time around! I’m definitely still learning their voices and the lyric code videos definitely make it a little more difficult.
In Solar Power, it is Hao's adlibs under Jiwoong's Chorus. I think it is Taerae and Hanbin doing the adlibs under Hao's Chorus.
In Feel the POP, there are certain lines that are wrong (Lyric Video Creator's Fault). I'll just list it all down. For the Pre-Chorus, it's Ricky then Hanbin (they're harmonizing with themselves in their parts). Gunwook is the one doing the adlibs in the first Chorus. The "i do care" and "everyday" line is Matthew's adlibs/lines. In the second prechorus, it's Yujin then Taerae (they're still harmonizing with themselves not with each other. In the second chorus, Yujin is the one doing the adlibs. In the final chorus, Hao's doing the first adlib, then Matthew does the adlib towards the outro.
