Maker of hand forged knives and leather work, created right here in the mountains of Vermont. Each knife is made with the same methods of early blacksmiths. Heated in my forge and hand hammered on an antique anvil making each piece unique and one of a kind.

Could you please tell me the thickness is? It would be 4mm?
To make the color effect of the handle in the video, does the wood used need to be dyed?Hope you can answer this question, thank you!😊
Yes it does, it's a process of several steps actually to achieve that color. Thanks for asking

Very nice ❤❤❤
Thank you!
You are correct that forging makes steel stronger. I was at a knife seminar and there was a Canadian smith demonstrating. He was talking about how steel gets stronger when forged. He used a common nail from the hardware store and forged the same nail using the same material. When he did the strength test that pulled on both nails to stretch it, the forged nail was twice as strong as the common unforged nail.
The shape of the knife is beautiful, very well built too
AWESOME SCOTT!
Hey Andy!
Scott my brother i hope u r well and all is good just wondering because i haven't seen you 4 a while hope all is well with u fam pets and business and weather is good hope 2 c a video soon Regards Richard 🇿🇦
Thank you for your concern Richard. We are alright and I will have a new video up soon. Lots going on here that I will update everyone on soon. Thanks again and I very much appreciate your message.
Beautiful work !! No sissy knife .. LOL
I have one like that. The sheath has engraving with the owners initials, some native Māori artwork and a lightly ground down 1932 New Zealand 1 Shilling coin near the end of the sheath. The blade appears to be the same as yours. The handle is of similar but thinner sections of brass, red plastic, clear plexiglass? and leather. I assumed the The end cap is diamond shaped, of aluminum with nicely engraved palm trees, stamped lettering “So. Pacific” “1943”. I assumed the plexiglass was recovered from an aircraft.
Wanting to get into making my own knives, this video will really help much appreciated
😎👌
Love it great job
If you use a lot of figured, maple try some iron nitrate it crazy what it does what it does to the wood
Wow
I can tell by the shape if you made it you can achieve much greater beautiful pieces

This is a beautiful piece my friend. Beautiful quality work
Thank you!
Stunning work! Absolutely fantastic in every way 👏
Thank you very much!
That is one absolute beautiful beast of a knife. Outstanding 👍 👍 👍 Love it!
Thank you again!
😊
Beautiful Bowie 👍 Quality Work! though walnut is a traditional handle material. Maple is better choice over Walnut-stronger grain structure. I just picked up 3 huge thick old American Horse shoe files. Gonna make a couple big knives.
Stored in the leather scabbard for years will damage the blade some-But Still a cool historical knife. Lotta sentimental to that one. I have never seen a Ka-bar with a trench Art handle ! Trench Art Military knives are out there. Soldiers often used aircraft cockpit windshield material to make stacked handles like yours. I picked up a WW-2 trench Art knife weeks back. Blade stock is not as thick-probably a Heavy saw blade.
