  I have squeezed the metal foil part a million times from every side & cannot get it to budge. No clue how you did it....the foil on mine is all dented now.

  J'ai acheté la pièce sur Aliexpress, il y avait déjà la petite pièce grise a interchanger dessus donc j'ai juste dû intervertir les 2 couvercles. Pas facile car peur de le casser mais en forçant un peu ce tutoriel m'a bien aidé !

  Useless without narrative. I remain amazed at the people who don't realize that an instructional video NEEDS TO CONTAIN INSTRUCTION and not some pointless and I stress DISTRACTING music. Explain what you're doing and why you're doing it the way you do it. We learn nothing from music.

  These are the same steps to replace the ring on the USA Dyson SV30. This was very helpful. Mine is still under warranty, so I will have the Dyson repair center replace the part.

  Definitely doesn't come off that easy. Used a flathead screwdriver to push the hooks in and then twisted it. If I'd just tried to do it their way I'd have broke the bin assembly before it came off

  The switch doesn’t seem to work. I put the battery in and it just turns on. Seems like something is pressing the plunger switch on the battery.

  Old comment but to help others, this issue is because the switch assembly isn’t pushed in to the handle enough. There’s a rubber grommet (around the wires) that gets in the way, try pulling the cables up.

  The method to remove/replace the lid shown on the video is misleading. I exerted a fair amount of force, and it didn't come out. I had to use pliers to press on the hooks in order to remove it.
