I can't do pine anything. The sap makes my hands swell and get itchy, the scent makes my nose and throat swell up and burn, and the oil makes my skin sting.

Almost similar condition was mine. I took pain relief medicine for shoulder pain but after taking medicine I got severe itching and rashes in my whole body. Bp reduced, swelling in my hands and needle like sensation in whole body. along with that my hb was reduced to 7.6 and platelet count was reduced to 31000. Can anyone please suggest me what should I do?

I started becoming anaphylactic in my late 30s. Test showed i was allergic to gluten, coffee, white meat, cats all sort of nuts which was nuts coz i never had it before. Going on a carefully crafted diet for a yr made my immune system weaker so i started introducing everything back. Turns out it was stress related. I do have skin allergies/sensitivity to heat or rough surfaces. I taught my brain to not perceive my food as a threat & its been a journey. Pairing up with a nutritionist soon so they can advise me how to properly make my food & when to take it. Hoping it helps me through my 40s enuf that it goes away.

My sister is allergic to peanuts. In the 80's she was literally the only one at school with a nut allergy. So of course, everyone thought she was lying, and she just didn't like peanuts.

The saddest thing is when someone tells you they have a food allergy and you know they've eaten the allergen for years.

Strawberry allergy. I work at a restaurant with a dishwasher with a strawberry allergy. Separate the plates that are contaminated. If you’re not sure just assume they’re contaminated. We had a new coworker not do this and told her she needs to start and she refused saying it was too much work and we should just fire the dishwasher (who has 8 years seniority on her). I understand working with someone with an allergy can be inconvenient but how do you think they feel?

I called in sick today because I woke up in the middle of the night with a migraine and wanted to puke. Thought I was just hot. Nope, migraine lasted until I woke up and took antihistamine and ibuprofen. But still having blah after effects and tired from being up for 3 hours when I was trying to sleep

Mushroom allergy. I’m able To eat one ore two bites by accident, but if I have more, I will be sick the rest of the night. Since I can handle a few bites, people love to say I’ve made up the allergy.

Mesquite allergy. The trees affect me, and when people barbecue with it and don't tell me, I get so sick. Also, my MIL doesn't understand why I don't eat her cooking .

Red Onions, i dont know why but everytime i have them I have difficulty breathing. Unfortunately almost all vegan restaurants exclusively use it as an integral ingredient in dishes.

Chitin allergy. The shells of bugs and shrimp. Anaphylactic, my throat swells up closed in minutes. Well, a lot of food manufacturers are putting insect meal in their foods to pump the protein up. And hiding this with really creative nameing and words in their ingredient list. Last week I had some sausages (ones I buy regularly) within 5 minutes I was epipenned and rushed to the hospital. Turns out the makers started putting "shellac flour" into their sausages to up the protein but keep calories down.

You people are quacks. Which is not to say allergies are not real,.it's to say you exaggerate allergies, and treat many people who don't actually have allergies.

In the past I had pollen allergy’s living in the DallasTx area working out side all day it was pure hell. People had no idea how bad I felt primarily spring and summer. I I When I got to a point where I was working in doors and then also started taking basic supplements such as zinc, magnesium my situation got a lot better. today it is about 95% better. But I do better understand how other people feel with their various situations.

Just started taking Dupixent and am 3 doses in (it's every 2 weeks) and I'm smelling and tasting again for the first time in basically 4 years (with the exception of a few months post surgery like her in early 2021). I'm a Bar Director and create cocktails for a living and being able to actually taste herbs, spices, bourbon, rye, mezcal for the first time in years I finally feel like I'm not "faking" my way through my job anymore. Dupixent WORKS

Xolair, originally intended to treat asthma and similar issues, has actually now been discovered to effectively treat food allergies such as peanut allergies. Jelisa Castrodale of Food & Wine reports that the FDA has approved the drug now for that purpose after conducting a study of 168 adults and children with both peanut and other common allergens. The trial showed that 68% of the group injected with Xolair were able to eat peanuts without showing "moderate to severe allergic symptoms." 2/27/24

I have done the skin testing back in the 1970s. I been arguing to have my son (5 year old) tested. Hoping for skin testing but they refuse and they schedule him to do blood testing. This is the first time I heard of blood testing for allergy. How accurate is this test compare to skin testing?

I have actually had it twice, being a former smoker and a history of asthma. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and end up in the hospital. But I had covid insomnia both times. So I only was able to sleep in 3 to 4 hour segments. I ended up binging on Game of thrones and baking. Being a supplement nut, I also took vitamins D, C, and a blend of B vitamins twice a day while I had it. Think it helped me alot.

Try vacuuming the bed every few days. We shed skin which feeds the dust mites. These skin particles can be vacuumed up by vacuuming the sheets. It is great to do between washings, but you need a vacuum with a good filter.
