I thought you were going to actually give a review or some kind of info. Thank for nothing!
The updates seem to work better at night.
Nerd
Yes, I am a Nerd, Geek, and computer guy. I was even on the Chess Club at one time ;)
how many smart rings do you have?
I'm currently wearing three and have four more coming soon... 1. Amazfit Helio Ring (left index) 2. Ultrahuman Ring Air (right index) 3. ŌURA Ring gen3 (right thumb) 4. Circular Ring Slim (in the mail arriving soon from France) 5. Circul Ring (Kickstarter) 6. RingConn 2.0 (pre-ordered via Kickstarter) 7. Samsung Galaxy Ring (ordered their sizing kit)
@@TheManWithTwoWatches Yeah I did the RingConn 2.0 also, my first. I keep seeing ads for the Circul lately
Yeah, the Circul Ring, with its expanding hardware, could be a cool wearable. As with many of the smartrings I've tested over the past four years: 1. design 2. comfort 3. software 4. presentation of the collect health statistics 5. reports 6. accuracy & consistency 7. cost 8. workout tracking 9. nap & sleep tracking 10. warranty 11. fun factor Yes, all of those 11 aspects come into play and I'll know more about that Circul Ring after it is on my index finger for good 11 to 22 days. For most gadgets that I wear the honeymoon does not last longer than two weeks.
I am going to wait for the Apple Smart Ring. Nice video about the various issues and I hope they fix them soon.
ROFL
Okay, so I've received the Balance yesterday, and maybe you could answer four questions I have since i couldnt find it anywhere. 1. I got the zepp os 4.0 now, but i can't find this battery manager you have there ( where you can see the battery usage, at 2:00) 2. When having a workout, can i somehow switch to the watchface on Balance? Anything I do is just pausing the workouts :( 3. Where the hell can I find the sound setting for alarm? It's only vibrating without sound for me. 4. Everytime I wake up, the watch is still in bedtime mode ( even without schedule set) and in the morning I have to switch it off, shouldn't that be automatic somehow? Many thanks for reading this, maybe replying to this, and imyreally appreciating your work, sir :)
And at 10:20 you're saying it's not possible to confirm the selection with the crown, not sure if someone here already wrote it, but there's a button mode, where pushing the crown will select the app without touching the screen and bottom button is a back button :)
You're experiencing some strange errors and that is for sure, sorry. If you mute the Amazfit Balance, nope, it will just vibrate for the alarms. As for the bedtime mode staying one, nope, I have not seen that error. Workouts: try swipping to the left to return to the watchface during a workout
@@TheManWithTwoWatches tried to swipe left and right during the workout, left " music" middle screen are the data, swipe right "pause, finish"... No way to go back to watchface only when finishing the workout 😢
Bummer! I no longer have the Amazfit Balance. I'll need to ask my friend, Jared, to go on a walk with me and I can answer your questions in real time with another short video. What other questions to you have?
Haven’t found the one ring yet?
I am torn between the Ultrahuman Ring Air and the Amazfit Helio. My brain may decide over the next seven months after I try another three orgs and how their smart jewelry may or may not change the health aspect of my life, eh...?
감사합니다!
You're welcome and glad you "appreciated" my video.
Hi how did the test go? Next video I didn't find thx
The test went well and I need to finish the next part, sorry :(
The raise to wake thing on GARMIN's Amoled is a hit or miss ... Unlike the Apple Watch for instance. So, MIP displays for a more stealthy look and less cartoonish/toyish/geekyishhhhhhhhhh 😁
Yeah, MIP is one of my favorite screens for outdoor. When it comes down to if you're more of outdoor person, yes go with MIP. Now, if you spend more time indoors, okay, the AMOLED screens are gorgeous with new watches landing on human wrists with 3,000 nits of brightness - dang!
Is it limited AOD faces or can extened by downloaded watch face? Or AOD come along with watch face?
AOD comes with each watch face designed for the Amazfit watches and then Amazfit has five watch faces designed by their Dev. Team to use as defaults. Would it help if I made a video just about AOD & watchfaces as it pertains to the Amazfit smartwatches, eh?
@@TheManWithTwoWatches yup, that's great, looking for a video for detail review about AOD faces / main watch faces, thanks
I doubt that an Apple Watch would do that if I had two Apple Watches 😄
Yes, I double the Apple Watch would do that too. Although, there is the Apple Watch Ultra 3.0 coming out later in 2024...
My garmin is super laggy and it keeps dissconnects when i’m in the pool. Is this normal?
What Garmin watch model, what type of pool, and how deep is the water?
Yeah, my data (sleep, steps, flights of stairs, heart rate, body battery, all synchronize just fine now) yet, I did lose about 14,000 steps because I did not correctly remove my Garmin from my profile before my friend connected the EPIX 2.0 to his Garmin profile. it looks like it's in sleep mode.
Yes, it was in sleep mode, and then I woke up the watch :)

Welcome to Garmin, bugs… bugs everywhere! Unsure where the best place is to report. I’ve tried calling for similar issues but I just get gaslighting (it’s your cable, it’s your version of Connect, Express, it’s your it’s Wrist) forums are ignored. I’d love to know the place that Garmin actually listens to reports ands feedback. It’s not calls, it’s not their forum, it’s not Reddit it’s not anywhere I have found ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe it’s youtube comments??
Thank you for the comment. Yeah, it is tough with you're a large organization like Garmin to listen to customers. I did figure out a solution and just need to take another three hours to make the video. My EPIX 2.0 is now synchronizing everything. To avoid this issue: 1. fully remove the watch from your account 2. delete the Bluetooth connect to your phone 3. do a full reset of the watch before loaning, selling, gifting, or returning it My mistake was the first, I did not fully remove it from my Garmin profile and unsure how I made that same mistake AGAIN since I made it around November or December of 2023. Live and learn, eh...?
Even worse is that earlier this week my back button began to fail! It was wigging out and clicking without be pressed and then it stopped functioning all together. I enabled the "touchscreen" feature, but without a back button it does make it difficult to use the "lap" functionality during a workout, especially a swim workout. And then about 48 hours after the funky hardware issues started, yeah, last night my back button fixed itself? (video coming soon...)
Weeee
Oh yeah... I was on a chat with Garmin Support Team for about 22 minutes trying to salvage 22 hours worth of data. In the end, yes, it was 97% my fault. Yet, I think Garmin should have a back door via their desktop app to pull the health data off a watch that can be proved it was mine 11 days earlier, right?
Did uninstall and reinstall the app? Also are u on the latest software version?
Yes, I tried that and got the same errors. My mistake was this: 1. I simply forgot to delete the watch from "My Devices" within the app - UGH! I deleted my Bluetooth connection to the watch and did a full reset, but by not discarding the wearable from my profile there were remnants of the connected two weeks later when my friend and I switched back our Garmin watches. I must say, as pretty as the EPIX 2.0 is with its AMOLED screen, yeah, the Garmin Enduro 2 solar is a better wearable all around.
So if I wear an 11 in Oura would a 10 in Helio fit? Is it a size down from your Oura?
I wear size 12 ŌURA Ring and the size 12 Amazfit Helio fits the same index finger, yet it is slight tighter. I normally wear the Helio Ring on my left index or my right middle finger. Without seeing your hands/fingers, I would guess that a size 10 Helio Ring would be too small.
My garmin is very slow and laggy can i fix this somehow and how?
You can disable some of the advanced features to see if that fixes the lag: 1. disable all-day SP02 tracking 2. disable heart-rate alerts (consult a doctor first) 3. disable AOD What Garmin wearable is on your wrist?
@@TheManWithTwoWatches i am wearing the garmin epix on my wrist and it keeps disconnecting and laggy all the time. It is annoying. Do you have sny sulotion for this?
The Garmin EPIX is nearing the three-years old benchmark. You could register for the Beta Software via Garmin Connect to see if the latest & greatest software makes it less laggy. Did you already try disabling some of the advanced health metrics like I suggested?
@@TheManWithTwoWatches i removed a few things from the fast accesebility and even removed some watch apps to see if it actually changed anything. What is your ideas maybe i should give it a try.
@@TheManWithTwoWatches register software via Garmin Connect how does that works? Could you please explain more?
Hi there, just a small question: im waiting for my Balance to come, and i saw elsewhere that the sleep score would adjust sonehow after few days or weeks of use, is that the correct assumption? :) I've decided for balance because of all the features for such a "budget" smartwatch:)
Yes, after a few weeks a smartwatch learns more about your body, its habits, and other factors. Users can also adjust the sleep window each morning if Amazfit has you going to bed/waking up at the wrong times. A lovely feature that not all applications allow.
What kinda notebook is that?!
Thank you for watching my video and that tablet was, and still in the reMarkable 2 e-ink device. Here is my reMarkable playlist: kzread.info/head/PL14X2qklpxc-wZkGvlHDIri-CCen6NOHu
Sir what is your wrist size ? And does the watch feel too big ?
Nope, neither of those watches feel too large or bulky. The Garmin Fenix 7X Pro, yes, that was too large for my seven-inch wrist circumference.
Real men (and women) who buy those watches don't need cutesy animations! 💪
Animations often help me escape the comfort of the couch... And yes, some "Real Men & Real Women" enjoy simplistic animations. To each their own, Dr. Eldon Tryrell?
Do I need to enable it or what?
Nope, just tell Apple your "fake" or true birthday ;)
How can I set up birthday on Apple Watch so I can get this animation🤔
Do I need to type in contact app birthday?
Why on a tether?
Sorry, a tether to what?
Thanks for the comparison I intend to ask a question regarding the heart sensor and accuracy. Is there a clear difference between watches? If I ask you for a point on 10 How much will you give for the two watches?
The Amazfit Balance is more consistently accurate than the OnePlus Watch 2.0. Now, if you can sleep soundly and workout for two hours knowing your heart-rate is roughly 10 to 20 beats off here and again, sure, the OnePlus Balance could be a great deal...
How come you don't have any videos about Whoop?
Whoop, well, here are my reasons: 1. there is no screen 2. no info anywhere on the wearable that gives me heart rate 3. I don't enjoy cycling, running, jogging, or swimming with a smartphone 4. I need to watch my heart-rate every couple of minutes to avoid over-training 5. If there is a wearable around my wrist, yeah, it needs to tell me the time of day so I don't workout too long and miss an event 6. cost 7. TBD 8. monthly subscription fees? NO thanks! 9. the name of Whoop is misleading 10. I already have 100 videos in my backlog that need editing 11. I rather spend the money a real smartwatch
@@TheManWithTwoWatches hmm interesting considering you do enjoy rings which don’t tell you the time either, but I understand that if it’s on your wrist you expect to be able to see your data in real time. You can also wear whoop in your boxers (which I do from time to time) for what it’s worth lol. Accuracy is actually quite good there.
Whoop there it is ;) And yes, many say that the Whoop is accurate. If that same KZread Channel, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram bought the Whoop tracker with their own money, yes, I believe them.
Does INSTINCT 2X SOLAR support fully HRM-Pro Plus, Bike Speed and Cadence sensor?
I know it connects to Bluetooth heart-rate sensors and the Garmin Varia cyclometer/camera/radar gadget. As for the cadence sensor, sorry, I don't have one of those to test.
Just bought the black version this orange colour is growing on me lol
Yeah and great news! I hope you enjoy the Instinct 2X Solar. My record for battery life, with solar charging, is 88 days. Can you beat that, eh?
Fantastic overview! Love the real world comparisons as well. I've oft been that crazy guy wearing two watches so I can compare them too, haha. One question about the Amazfit that I can't seem to get answered anywhere.... Are there any Analog watch faces on the Balance that stay "on" (in a dimmed mode preferred) when AOD is set to on? I much prefer my watch to look consistent vs switching from an Analog face, for example, to a small digital clock when in the AOD mode. I can do that with certain watch faces on my Galaxy Watch 6 - for example, where the Analog face will still be visible even when not being used and in the dim AOD mode. When I touch to wake, the face becomes more clear and detailed, but it is the same face and not a switch. Any insight you have on that would be appreciated.
Yes, there are several analog watches that utilize the AOD features of the Amazfit Balance, Cheetah Pro, T-Rex 2, and the Falcon. I have another video coming out about Amazfit watches and I will make sure to mention that cool, yet dim, feature for watch faces. Glad you liked my review video 🤠
which epix 2 are you using? the 51 or 47 or 41mm? is sapphire or not? please be more specific
Garmin EPIX 2, not a sapphire screen for it was not available at that time, yet it should have been. And the screen size is 47mm in diameter. It is a lovely watch and I still recommend it. If you would like a smaller watch that tracks nearly the same amount of health metrics, yes, the COROS Pace 3 is a great timepiece.
@@TheManWithTwoWatches oh now I understand why, thank you so much for the explanation
Excellent and glad I could help. I've been wearing the same Garmin EPIX 2 (shown in the that video) and the new COROS Vertix 2S on an off again for nearly one month. I'll be releasing that video soon...
Thanks so much for the detailed breakdown, it's been really nice to have this content cuz I was having a hard time finding details about the battery life on other videos. What I'm still blown away by is that you got 22 days with what sounds like basically everything going? Did I misunderstand that, cuz a reddit post I was going through people talked about how it's more like 7 days with everything going (which is still great) but I just wanna understand which I'll be getting
Thanks and glad you liked my video. Yes, it was 22 days was with a lot of sunlight and only about one alarm per day, and I think the sound was off too. But, yes, it was tracking my sleep and workouts. Battery life is hard to measure for everyone uses their smartwatches in unique ways.
@@TheManWithTwoWatches that's so cool! Totally makes sense, it is very individualized. When you say lots of sunlight are you talking about leaving the watch out in the sun on the frozen bottles or just everyday life getting a lot of sun with it on your wrist?
I was just outside a lot and the watch was on my wrist. Unfortunately, the CASIO G-Shock Design Team failed to put in a battery percentage and did not include anytime of solar-charging log files. It was difficult to determine how much the DW-H5600-2 battery's increased day to day.
@@TheManWithTwoWatches nice, that's still really cool that the solar charging was able to help boost it that many days. Thanks so much for sharing!!
You are welcome. And yes, solar charging that is effective and when you compare it to the battery life compared to the solar logging details, oh yeah... I hope one day soon Garmin adds how much battery life has increased after 400 Lx solar charging hours are received. A weekly report would be quite interesting to my brain.
Wonderful video bro, So much dedication and time and patience level unlike other reviews. I needed to buy a smartwatch under 300 dollars and i was confused between many and also all watches doesn’t support ios so i had narrowed the list but still i was confused between so many . Thanks for this review it helped me a lot and loved your detailed video of watch . Keep up the good work pal ❤👍 best wishes for your channel🎉
WOW, and thank you for watching me chat about watches. So, of the many watches which one do you add to your cart?
I just bought the Amazefit balance a week ago and i really loved it.The bttery life ,the looks and the accuracy of the sensors were on point.
Hooray! I am happy you are satisfied with your purchase. When I first began reviewing Amazfit gadgets I was concerned and over the past two years, yes, their upgrades continue to improve features, consistency, and health-tracking accuracy.
I haven’t charged my 2x in a month, battery still at 85%! To be fair I have a epix pro I wear and I do keep the 2x in the sun most days
Nice pairing of watch choices and yes, the 2X has the Instinct, and battery 🔋 life to last for months...
I’ve been wearing an Amazfit Bip smartwatch for like 5 years now, it’s my beater watch. I recently got my first gshock and it’s a Casioak. I like the build and quality of gshocks, I’m late to the gshock party. Besides quality and build, I think Casio is falling behind with “smart” features. Been researching gshocks and theres a handful of them that looks so good, but like I said they are behind with “smart” features. My dream gshock is a Casioak with touch screen, gps, notifications, and health monitors. Got my eyes on Garmin watches too but I’m leaning towards an Ultra Watch, may get the first Gen used for cheaper price.
Yeah, Casio G-Shock line has more work to do and each year they improve. As for the Apple Watch Ultra or Ultra 2, they are okay, but not as good as everyone claims.
It would be appropriate to say that CIRCULAR RING is a scam. I ordered a ring in November 2023. It arrived broken. No chance of reapir. Check the reviews on the internet - forums are full of similar stories.
Yeah, the forums are full of wild stories.
Nice title of 100 hours for your great battery test.
Thanks for the view
Great video!
Thank you for clicking on by...
I liked your video.
Thank you for watching.
What ongoing workout could you possibly be recording from an activity tracker while making a review video??
Sorry, I don't understand your question 🤔
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
I look forward to the rest of the video. How long before you release the rest of your book, the last chapter and tell me if I should by the Amazefit Helio or the Oura ring?
Yes, trying to finish that video up tonight 😁
Day 3 complete on huel black edition only and down 6lbs 😁
WAY to go! Six pounds of loss is fabulous fat reduction! I think around 1 pound per week or four to six pounds is pretty great (all depending on what your doctors told you and do NOT depend too much on Dr. Google or Dr. Bing). For every 3,600 calories burned, yes, one pound of fat melts off your body if you are eating right, sleeping 7.5 to 8.3 hours per night, avoiding stress, drinking enough water to pee clear, and 11 other daily tasks. Take your time, and only weight yourself one or twice per week. A daily weigh-in is feckless.
Awesome 😎
@TheManWithTwoWatches have u tried black edition
Yes, I tried the "black edition" and the taste was great, yet... WAY, WAY, WAY too much caffeine for my strict diet. I strive to avoid anything with caffeine unless it is a few pieces of dark chocolate during Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and St. Patrick's Day. Okay, perhaps, my diet is not too strict after all ;)
Thank you
You're welcome
First time channel viewer. Anyone know the backstory of this guy? What drug is he in recovery for?
Never been on drugs, sorry for my lack of experience. My background is in Information Technology and since 2000 I have been a QA Software Engineer, but I also test hardware (watches, rings, and various gadgets around the average house).
Yes, natural endorphins from swimming, cycling, running, tennis, 🎾 hiking 🥾, pickle ball, racketball, table tennis, dog walking, kayaking, and...
@@TheManWithTwoWatches that is awesome! I played volleyball in high school and know what you mean about endorphins! My exBF tried going the health food route to help him overcome his pill habit. I'm so glad to hear you don't have to deal with that. And thank you for replying 😍
I love watching your videos.
Glad you like them!
Will there be a Day 30?
Yes, I am Day 11 now and still enjoying the healthy data that the Amazfit ZEPP app tells me 😁
Have you tried charging it off? Does it charge or does it have to be in air/energy-saving mode all the time?
Yeah, most solar watches do charge via sunlight when in "off" mode, yet there are no solar-charging log entries to show in a video... DANG! Perhaps, more testing is needed 🤓👍🤔
