Thnx for the video, we didn’t know where to go, now we’re going to Rügen in a week 😅👍
Awesome! Hope you love it as much as we did. 🥰
This video is only bearable because of the scenery.
It is amazing! 🤩
how much parking cost?
I'm not sure exactly how much it was but I think we spent less than 6 euros for the 3-4 hours we spent there. It was reasonable. Thanks for watching.
A wee tip for any tourists looking for ‘hairy cows’ (highland cattle) but perhaps short for time in Scotland and maybe only visiting Edinburgh or Glasgow, there is a herd of them in one the big parks in Glasgow - called Pollok country Park. Less than 10mins on train from centre of Glasgow. Also has a really good museum called The Burrell Collection.
Wow that is for the info! 😊
Wait a minute. They needed a tow truck because they got a flat tyre. Don't drivers learn how to change wheels in America?
Unfortunately the rental company did not provide a spreadsheet tire. We had to get towed to a mechanic to purchase a tire and get it replaced. Very odd!
😂❤
I hugged the curb so much that I blew a tire on the first day, as the small towns have sharp corners. I was much more careful for the next 3 weeks!
It’s so easy to do if you’re not careful.
Yes, well, the British cars have steering wheels so you should be ok.
😂
Your camper van is fitted with Sat-Nav.
Yes you are correct.
Welcome!🎉 and you got a dose of our lovely weather too!🤭
Thanks! We had a great trip.
@@trailblazinpeppers Oh wow I never expected a reply as I was so late to find your channel and this video is 9 months old. So thank you for your reply and all the best to your family. I must say I’m a huge fan of America for a holiday or what you guys say vacation. I’ve been 7 times & loved it each time. A great country:) Hope you are having the same living in this dull, wet, cold UK 🤭
Rules of the road go out of the window when in car parks in any country. I now live in Spain and switching from left to right is never a problem.
Awesome! Spain is gorgeous.
I'm American, just got back from Scotland, had a rental car, and took it on ferries to Shetland and Orkney. It was also a manual, which I regularly drive here in the US, but not used to shifting with my left hand. Not my first time on the left though, have driven in the UK before, also Thailand, Malaysia, NZ, Malta and countless Caribbean islands.
Wow that’s awesome. We’ve also been to Malta but haven’t driven.
'Nuts!' 'Insane!''Weird!' Ffs, tell me you're American without telling me.
Guilty.
It's only the other side of the road, you get used to it quickly enough.
In all fairness driving in the US and Canada is fairly easy due to the size of the roads, the UK is a different story, drove in Portugal a few months ago and drove on the left a few time by mistake!
Makes me laugh, we flit between mainland Europe and uk with no issues, it’s really not a big deal.
Crazy roundabouts? Typical yank comment.
Not all "yanks" think roundabouts are crazy, I think they're very efficient and love them....miss a turn, just go round again!
@@MG-ot2yr Exactly!! Fool proof. Have a great day. 🇬🇧
Going to Ireland next month for our 30th wedding anniversary. Thanks for the tip.
After 75 years driving including 50 years in 7 developing countries I have never had to wait for a tyre (wheel) to be changed.
You use your mirrors to check your position on the road. That will give you a reference point to the white line. On country roads use your mirrors agai. to judge where you are on the road. When passino oncomingvehicles, look at the gap not the car,.lorry, tractor or whatever. One of the jobs I had in the French Alps included orientting people to drive on the right and on snow. My constant refrain was "Check your mirrors, move to the left a little" as I watched them trying to take the paint off parked car.
Disappointed at the low scores on the Hanuta there elite, 10/10 childhood favourite 😊
I’m sorry! 🙈 I’m sure it would grow on us.
We drive on the left because, back in the day, we may have had to draw our sword.
Isn't it something to do with knight templars? Or medieval times where a knight wore his sword on his left hip so as to use his right hand to draw his weapon same with the handshake where you shook hands to show you hadn't a weapon in your hand and Europe,,. France on right something to do with Napoleon 🌹😚😁
Enjoy, but be careful ‼️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
Route is pronounced ROOT .
Thanks for commenting! Meririam-Webster Dictionary says it can be pronounced either way.
And please be carful with language. Don't say focus . In the north the camera man says he's going to focus . And the child says 'What both of us ! '
In England they say if you drive don't drink. But in Scotland it's recommended to have a wee dram.
And now Mr American try driving in France. You have to give way to any vehicle coming out of a side road - you must stop. The same with round a bouts , you give way to cars entering from the right. Most English don't know this !
Napoleon changed to the right as crowned emperor of Europe to challenge the British.
P.s. but shipping rules still remain passing on the Starboard ( right) side . This confuses the French. 😱
Im german and eating right now 2 mettbrötchen while watching this.
Mettbrotchen Wednesday = taco Tuesday
I need to get out more 😂 I’ve never ventured outside Idaho I need to live a little 😂 This place is beautiful
Thank you!!!
Haha! Nice tip. Thanks for watching.
I would love to visit something that ancient
It was amazing!
Scandinavian here! I visited this place in the turbulent 1970s and it’s one of the places that has been with me ever since. I have visited 85 countries, seen a few things and this is a place high on my list! ❤
Wow! So cool. Thanks for sharing.
Well, at least you didn’t drive a stick. In my case the first time driving in the UK I was instinctively trying to shift gears with the door handle 😂
im sorry we couldnt accomadate those poor americans and make everything suit them what a shame boo hoo
You can actually get to most places by train, even in Scotland. it's a lot more relaxing and there's plenty of time to see the scenery. Overseas visitors can buy a Britrail Pass before they arrive in the UK, this makes buying tickets cheaper and simple.
Beautiful stuff 🙂👍
It really is!
@@trailblazinpeppers 👍
You need to move your satnav somewhere that it does not block your vision.
You just have to take it slowly and steadily. 10 minutes a day for 4 days and the brain will adjust. A shame she says never again.
Why Irish music -it's Scotland.😁
They sound so similar! 😂
These Stolpersteine, which commemorate the victims of the Holocaust, were created by the German artist Gunter Demnig in 1992. There are now 100,000 of them in 30 countries.
Wow so interesting. Thanks for the information and always watching our videos.
"Plzeňské pivo, prosím!"
It was so delicious! One of the best we’ve had here in Europe.
@trailblazinpeppers The Czech Republic and Germany are the best countries for beer. They also drink the most.
It's probably been mentioned before in a comment, but it's technically you could have been stopped by the police for having your phone/sat nav in that position. It should never obstruct your forward view.
Raw minced pork? Jah!
You really have to learn to adjust your seat 😊
Roundabouts are actually way more efficient than stop signs
Get a deadcat for the mic.
We have one. We’ve also invested in mics since these videos. 😁
Must be a real experience driving on the correct side of the road for the first time....
