  So when I see this video I think "oh hahaha Man on the Internet did the entire Salvatore, Language Class - Final as a joke" but then I notice that I have not subscribed to The Man on the Internet "that can't be right" I think to myself, but than I see that it does not say man but theatre "WHAT, WHAT, WHAAAAAAT!" I say out loud at 9:24PM so I go to the channel and see multiple different events of Pokémon SV but voiced truly marvellous

  I love the voice of Nurse Miriam. God she sounds so wonderful. She also sounds like she would make a great Princess Peach voice. Like if the MOTI crew decided to do a dub of any of the Paper Mario games, more specifically either Super or Thousand Year Door (or 64), she would fit perfectly as Peach in there. At least in my mind.

  No shade to the voice actor, she sounds great, but it just doesn't feel right hearing Nemona speak without like a heavy Spanish accent like how I always heard it in my head. She just uses so much of the language in her casual speech that it just makes more sense Still great regardless though

  I mean, as someone that lives super close to Mexico (obviously it’s completely different from Spain, but not my point) plenty of people here speak very fluent Spanish *and* very fluent English, and a lot of them mix random Spanish words when they speak English too, just like Nemona does. Nothing wrong with you personally imagining her with an accent, I’m just saying it’s definitely believable for her to have a fluent English accent as long as the Spanish words she does say also sound just as fluent, and I think her voice actor pulls that off just fine.

  Based on the game dialogue I don't really think she's meant to have a heavy Spanish accent. She has too much fluent English dialogue. Definitely a slight Spanish accent though. Although it's not uncommon for many American Latinos to sprinkle in Spanish terms despite speaking clear English.

  I haven’t been commenting much on these but this part specifically, i have to. these reads are completely cold read, i never saw these in my first playthrough so getting a chance to really understand and learn Nemona from this scene fresh in my mind as i was recording meant a lot to me. Nemona’s a dream role and Im honored to have portrayed her in any capacity.

  That scene in her room is my favorite Nemona scene in the game; I just feel like if it were part of the main story, people wouldn't just dismiss her as just "that girl who loves battling." She has depth, too.

  A lot of JRPGs tend to keep a lot of characters’ depth locked to side stories or optional character interactions. Danganronpa and Persona for instance do this, via their Free Time Events and Social Links/Confidants. I think Pokémon doing this too is fine since people complain enough that the games have “too much dialogue/too many cutscenes/too many interruptions” and they’d have to restructure Nemona’s encounters with you during the Gym Challenge to have her run into a scenario that makes sense for her to vent about her struggles rather than gush about you beating the next Gym Leader and getting stronger. A lot of Pokémon fans are kinda allergic to reading anyway, so even if this dialogue *was* required to read in the main story, most people would still either miss it somehow or completely misinterpret her character regardless. I also prefer these events being optional because it gives you more to do around the school. You have this HUGE set piece with a bunch of areas programmed in for it that look nice, you might as well get some use out of them-especially since in-game, they literally timeskip alllllll the days you spend in school so you can cut straight to your normal Pokémon journey.

  Nemona mentioning the Academy Ace Tournament at this point in the story is an error. That gets set up AFTER the Area Zero story, we haven’t done that yet.
