    Do not use outputs coming from the back of the stereo for use with a LOC. Your afternarket subwoofer will not play anything below 40 or 50hz.. so almost midbass sound regardless if you use 1000 watts rms, a 12 inch or a 15 inch subwoofer. The right cables to use are under the driver's seat on the harness going to the bose amplifier, these wires are input wires that haven't passed through the crossover section which limits the frequencies going to the tiny factory 5 inch subwoofer.

    Thanks for the video. Super helpful. Im going to order the parts today. I’m gonna attempt this but just curious why you need the crux in addition to the maestro. I’m under the impression that they do the same thing, enable steering wheel controls? Also, is the apple car play head unit you used wireless or wired?

  • @Tmoneygarage
    @TmoneygarageАй бұрын

    Thanks for watching and for the comment! No, you don't need both. I started with the crux but ran into a bunch of issues so I switched to the maestro. I just used the harness from the crux so I wouldn't need to splice into the actual factory audio harness. The head unit is wired. It'll plug into the existing aux port in the truck.

  • @Tmoneygarage

    Sorry I forgot to reply to your comment earlier. To be honest I don’t remember but I either didn’t use it or it was spliced to a power wire like the 12v cigarette lighter. It’s a signal wire so you just need to tap it to something that turns on when you turn the car on.
