Thank you for Making this Video I'm 2 n half post op and it's just amazing to see what was done to me.
Congratulations Tiffany, wishing you great health & wellness! OCC is wonderful.
Yeah except the 10 people I know who got either lapband or gastric bypass all put the weight back on. Every single one. I know a few people on an Ozempic type med and time will tell if it's going to work long term or not. That's the key is long term results.
Horrible side effects. Be aware!
Who's paying $1000-$1200!!??? My sister is doing the highest dose, out of pocket she pays just under $600.
I get mine June 18th any tips from anyone who’s had it done? Thank you in advance
Fire the camera man you ain’t show nothing
Did you know that the American healthcare system is a scam. Only Oath you’re upholding is the one you signed with big pharma. Medical care shouldn’t cost humans a penny.
2018 sleeve patient ❤ Still so very grateful for your skillet Dr. Ortiz 😊
I feel like with any and all educational surgery videos that the explanation should be done with a voice over rather than during the surgery. Each and every surgery is very serious and can run certain risks. It may not be the case, but I feel that when your focus is on making a video, your main focus is no longer on the patient on the table. The patient will have a longer surgery which will keep them under anesthesia longer which I hear is also undesirable. I am sure you are a great surgeon and an amazing team. But just from my own point of view, I feel this patient wasn’t the priority in this video.
Beautiful video dr. I'm getting this surgery June 5th I pray my Dr. Care for my stomach as much as you do your patient.
If you want to see what their doing you have to pinch the video and it’ll show you like with your two fingers on the screen zoom in and it’ll flip the rotation to what their doing
June 21 I get mine
I don't see any surgical procedure being performed
You are awesome for showing us this video because I'm going to do the bypass 2 and I'm very happy to know what's going to happen and I'm very comfortable with it from Fresno God love
Spot on! I’m 62 and having gastric sleeve in June. I needed to hear this. I was ready to concede to being a fat old person, stay home, stream and read, and sleep. But something finally clicked inside me and I realized I was afraid to try one more thing, a big thing, and fail. But as a senior gal, I’ve been through some stuff. I’m a warrior! I’m not giving up!
I am also 62 and in the process of getting approved for the gastric sleeve. Hopefully, surgery will be in June or early July. I am nervous about it.
How do you verify a physicians license in Mexico and what is the standard of care? How can you believe anything you read? What happens if something goes wrong and you are back in the states? Where do you go?
I would check websites like Reddit and KZread, Get a feel for the various surgery centers. In Tijuana there are several good places, I went with Guttierez at MBC. since he has done in excess of 5k surgeries plus he has accreditation in both Mexico and USA. Call and discuss with them - they have all the answers.
how much this procedure costs?
I had gastric bypass at 68. Glad I did. It is now 4.5 years post-surgery. But I am wondering if his very fast recovery was because maybe he had sleeve rather than gastric bypass??? I had surgery in TX. My bariatric surgeon was very experienced. However, in contrast to the man interviewed, I was in the hospital two nights. I had pain meds first day and felt fine. They withdrew the pain meds second day and was given no pain meds after that. I had significant pain for nine days following surgery. Hopefully most people get some kind of pain meds. I think Texas was scared everyone would get hooked on pain meds at the time. But at any rate, I am still glad I had the surgery. I do have some kind of strange complication that caused me to lose more weight than expected, but I consider that a plus. However, I now have acid reflux (which I did not have pre-surgery) and now have frequent vomiting. I have had multiple endoscopies. They saw a small hiatal hernia is all. Someone speculated that the vegas nerve might have been nicked during the gastric bypass. So although I deal with these digestive issues now, I am so thankful to not be overweight any more, and am glad I had the surgery.
I have my surgery tomorrow
you are correct you break the bad habits before the surgery and I had a great medical team had my surgery april 8 2024
the protein shakes took away my cravings for junk food
its a life style change
But the GERD is real unless you have bypass.
But Mexico is not safe. Like really not safe.
wow is the first place i see they address this i had talk to 2 other so call top doctors on TJ found 2 bad reviews about this and they seem like upset about me asking and seem just not even good following up with them at all
Thank you for explaining. I am having this test.
This is an exceptional narrative! Thank you!
I’m kinda tired of hearing about precipitous weight loss. It just doesn’t happen in older female patients. These testimonials just set older patients up for worry and depression when they don’t lose as fast.
I love the idea of this surgery my problem is that I have horrible acid reflux problems.
I'm 9 years post surgery. I'm still a healthy weight after all these years. This was the best decision I ever made, and would highly recommend OCC.
Have my surgery in 3 weeks time.
OCC is the best!
I got a cavity reading the comments. He doesn’t say anything helpful unless you never went to biology 101. HE DID NOT answer the question in the title. CLICKBAIT.
LITERALLY! I was like… are we watching the same video?? 😭
This doesn't show the tools or anything... but glad to hear him speak.
My husband could not eat for months and months and then his doctor gave him a CAT scan with barium and dye and then the next day he had an appetite he couldn't stop eating and to this day he cannot stop eating that barium somehow fixed his esophagus and I personally think his flap was closed and the barium.
I see this is 2years ago… is he still performing surgeries?
I called them today.. I’m so excited to get started 💕
Music is too loud. I can’t hear her wuestions
You need surgery too why don’t you do it?
I just got mines on the 8th of January this year... getting used to eating less food was the hard part. Other than that I'm down 50lbs...
Where does the surgery take place… I’d like to look into having it done..
Yes! My sister had to gain weight to get the bypass in the US. Another reason why I am working on getting to OCC for surgery!
Thank w
Dou you guys do leak test and how many?
Roughly how much!
The constricted stomach tissue doesn’t rot inside the person? What happens to the blood vessels sewn together? Will this make me less hungry?
Needed to Hear this.. omw right now through this journey doing test I'm 60 as well (Thank You)
