OFF DA T.O.P.
This video is gold! 🔥
Thanks for watching ❤ Plan to do an updated video soon since I found out about some more certs.
Hey Lola, love the content! I’m very interested in transitioning into project management and listening to your story I can relate to having past work and business experience that could cross over as PM experience. I don’t have any certs but I’m looking into the google PM cert and just wanted to see if you have any resume advice or tools and any advice on what certifications are most helpful
Thanks for watching ❤ I definitely plan to do a resume review video. I did two of them on my TikTok but I'll do another breakdown for YT
❤I loved the breakdown about the PM ROLE Where i can relate that is this for me or not and you basically described everything i like doing and have considered starting a business in planning and execution. Just watch all your videos super relatable. I don’t have degree but i do need the certification that makes me more marketable because of my lack of experience. Could you also review entry level roles. Like project coordinator or program manager i would love to hear your thoughts or advice 😊 @lolathemanager
Thank you for watching all my videos ❤ And yes, I can review other roles
I’m so happy I found your channel ❤
Me too 🤗 thanks for tuning into the experience
sorry...wanted to watch...but terrible audio.
Hi Ruby. Not sure why you’re having audio issues. I’ve played this on several different devices with no problem.
Oh and we're both 3-0-5 ladies who attended USF! Did your first (contract) job specify or highlight anything related to the PMP certification?
💚💛🤘🏾 ayyyyeeee!!! And no, the 1st contract did not ask for any certifications.
As a teacher in FL with a master's degree trying to escape this environment, THANKS for sharing!
🎶 twiiiiiinnnn, where have you been 🎶 You’re welcome 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching 🤗
Lol. Quite an interesting story!
Indeed 😅 thanks for watching
Is it blk own
Not sure if the venue is black owned but the parties are by black promoters
Can’t hear you and my volume is all the way up
These videos are helping me as I am working through the Google Coursera courses! <3
This what I love to hear 🤗🤗🤗 thanks for tuning in
I’m back 😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I will be back after my prayer time. You are my new corner place on the internet….
✈️🛩️ to your Instagram.
Hi Lola, I sent you an email
Thanks for another unmatched Master class❤
Thank you! This is so helpful. Can you share an example of kick off meeting deck for marketing kick off meeting and how do you actually present it? Can you as well share some example of project status reports ? What is expected?
Most definitely. I plan on doing “mock meetings” so you can see what happens in real time so thanks for these questions.
Hi Lola, the audio isn’t good. You always sound so far away in your KZread videos. U need to invest in a mic. I have my volume on the highest level to hear u at what should be a normal level. Your views may be higher if the audio was better. I’ve switched off from some of your videos cos they were too difficult to try and listen to. Others may be doing the same. Please take this with the good intention it was said. ❤
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
Thanks Lola, your content is very helpful.
You’re welcome 🤗 thanks for watching
I just wanted to let you know I truly appreciate the content you have been pushing out! This has been a great resource as I pursue my PMP cert and PMP career. Thank you so much!! ❤
You’re welcome 🤗 thank you for watching. Let me know what else you want to see/know.

Thanks Lola, this was really informative and very detailed, you are indeed a teacher ❤
Really love n need these ; also your work from home set up and how u don’t get overwhelmed
Thank you for tuning in 🤗🤗🤗 and, I’ll try to do my WFH setup but I definitely change it every few weeks lol haven’t found the perfect setup yet
I'm Certified Scrum Master, took the Google project management course, studied engineeering management degree. Still struggling to find an Entry-level project coordinator/ manager job. Should I go with Prince 2 foundation certification as it's more recognize in the UK?
If you’re in the UK, I’d say focus on getting what you see is more valuable there. However, my question is, have you done any actual projects? You may want to take those projects and highlight them on your resume/LinkedIn. Recruiters and employers typically want to see proof of projects, not just the certs/education. Hope this helps.
@@LOLATHEMANAGER My experience previously was working in IT software development and I was involved more into technical aspects of projects rather than management. I have good understanding of Agile methodology and other project management methodology. So my only way to showcase my understanding is certification and coursework. On the other hand the experience of IT software development in CV stating in bullet points how I contributed in sprints , did documentation, managed Jira tickets.
@@LOLATHEMANAGER It’s just I want someone to give me an opportunity so I can prove my skills.
Hi Lola, quick question : In the brief, for the major tasks and milestones, is this something that will already be in the brief of is it something that you will need to figure out as the project manager ?
Depending on the project, the brief may call out some significant milestones/tasks they want done and you would figure out how that flows into a plan/schedule. You can even ask the key stakeholders about them if they are not in the brief/proposal.
Great, thank you! Can you do a video about your day to day in terms of the analytical part of the project manager job with a workspace example (creative assets development for a campaign): what does it consist in, reports you work on, data, dashboards, metrics,... ?
Highly recommend you checking out my TikTok (lolathemanager) because I do that there weekly. Logistically, I can’t screen share those things so on TikTok, I show what I’m working on. But I can try to find a way to create a mock version of that so I’m not sharing compromising information.
Great video!! We have similar stories yet I am currently trying to pivot out of the social work field.
Thank you. All those cases you have in social work can be viewed as projects by the way.
Please more simply projects
Please keep these coming as well as at home work space set up and tips
I’m grabbing both of these books you recommended !! Thanks for sharing and keep the great content coming!!
I love Trello!
This is what I was looking for a very transparent view. Love this. Working on finishing my degree & I just have my CSM for now. Thanks for the encouragement to get my PMP
Thank you. Love that you found this helpful. It’s my goal to be as transparent as possible. 🤗
Hi Lola, I’m so glad I came across your page! Your story is so relatable because that’s where I’m at in my career . With 6+ years of experience working in marketing and events, I decided to pivot into PM and recently got my PMP certification. My challenge now is tailoring my resume and building my portfolio. Do you have any recommendations on how to go about that? Also I’ll love to connect with you on LinkedIn😊
Thanks for watching and joining the experience 🤗 I’d recommend using AI software like (Claude.Ai) to take your marketing resume and restructure it using project mgmt language. And take some major campaigns/events you worked on and highlight them as projects in your portfolio.
I wish I had this when I took my PM course. Love your content!!
Hi Lola. New subscriber is that an example of a waterfall project?
Yes. This is for waterfall/traditional project management
I’m a new subscriber looking to pivot into project management. I really enjoy the content, tips and advice. I obtained my Google Project Management certification in 2021 and recently obtained my CAPM in August. Although these certs are helpful I’m waiting patiently for my first official project management role.
Thanks for joining the experience 🤗 are you working on projects to build your experience to get that role?
@@LOLATHEMANAGER Yes, I’ve worked on a few projects in a support role, coordinating tasks and scheduling. I know the job market is horrible right now but I have faith my project management position will come!!
@@tararhem8346 be sure to add those specific projects on your resume and LinkedIn if you haven’t done so already.
@lolathemanager no I haven’t but I will try that. Thank you so much for the advice!!😇😇
So, (WBS) and Project Brief are terms I haven't heard of yet! Is there Charter and Brief the same thing?
Good Question! The brief is a quick synopsis of the project given to you when you’re assigned to the project so you can then beginning developing a project plan/schedule. You don’t create the brief. Different companies may use a different term than “brief” The charter is a formal document to set the project in motion. More detailed/specific than a brief. EX: A brief might say we need a project manager and developer but the charter provides the actual name of those people. You may or may not be responsible for developing the charter based on how things are structured at your job. Hope this helps provide clarity.
Thank you for this clarification but I’m a bit confused, who normally creates the project charter? I thought it would be the Project manger.
I love your content...very detailed! You are always on point!
Thank you 😊 I appreciate that
I just subscribed off the 3 seconds of the video
