    As a Belgian who never got further than the west side of Germany, I made a (now) very dear Czech friend at an event a few months ago. I have payed her a visit a few weeks ago and we have the second weekend together planned for the near future. Czechia has stolen my hear, the cites (Pragh), culture, architecture. The nature, amazing hikes, the hrad's .... The ppl, if you are polite and show respect you emediatly get respect back. The intensity of the ppl. The language ...

    I love your channel you are by far the best teacher but it saddens me that you have validated the insanity of the gender theorists by attempting to accommodate their mental illness. Yes languages are always evolving but I would argue the ideas put forth by these neo marxists are a de-evolution. We have too many problems in the US because of these people. Too many creepy and dangerous men are wearing high tight skirts and wigs and going into bathrooms and locker rooms with young women and many are committing crimes. If there is one thing that we know before even learning to speak is what is a man and what is a woman. I hope you reconsider the adherence to that toxic religion because you do not want this disease to become malignant in Czech Republic as it did in the US

    "Tady nebo s sebou" I understand the use, but would not the "s sebou" be "se sebou" because se is used when the next word has the same letter for a better distinction. Like "jedu se sestrou?" or is the s, e, already included in the s-e-bou? Thanks I also miss your videos, have been studying Czech and now living in the Czech Republic. I am studying Czech at Charles University and they decided now to teach all the Czech language classes only in Czech (the target language) for new learners because there are mostly ukranian students in the class now, so it is hard for us non- slavic speakers to understand the explanations of how and why things are used. Talk about full immersion!! The ukranians zoom along, and non slavic struggle more. Some classes like in Brno at the expat center seperate the slavic speakers from the non slavic EU and third countries, but not Charles University. I need your classes for better explanations in English. Thanks so much.

  • @CzechforGary
    @CzechforGary2 ай бұрын

    Oh my, this “full immersion” must be difficult for you and is as smart as throwing a child into deep water to “teach” him how to swim. Try the over questioning technique: non Slavic students keep asking questions until the professor understands this approach will slow down their class and switch to English. Or just tough it out… Regarding s sebou, theoretically you are right. But since “s sebou” is traditionally pronounced “sebou”, there is no need to ease the pronunciation by inserting the e (se sebou). It stems more from uses and customs than from logic. Ex. Mám s sebou samé hlouposti. Not to be confused with: “To se rozumí samo sebou.” (It goes without saying/ It’s beyond any doubt) or “Hoď sebou!” (Hurry up!) Thank you and a new video has been just released yesterday: Custom vocabulary based on associations!

    bylo to nepopiratelné. nemluvím ani nepíšu česky. Když jsem zavíral oči, abych byl ve vesmíru nahý, abych mohl vidět, co jsi řekl....cítil jsem to prostřednictvím výrazu ve zvuku tvého hlasu...jak to hladilo mou bytost a splynulo to ve mně v jedno. zpět v době, kdy se poprvé zrodila jako stroj na hřebíky zpět do a v češtině.... Ještě jednou děkuji... Budu rád jíst yiu vudeis, abych se naučil česky 😊👍👍
