  This always reminded me of Naples, Italy and its extremely obnoxious ambulance sirens. It doesn't matter what day, time of the day or place it is, you would always hear this God damn siren just shattering your ears in a radius of up to 2km around it. So I thought that if the aliens had attacked Naples, there'd still be as many ambulances making the same amount of noise.

  I must say I got lucky ,I went as the Lockdowns continued and I needed my sanity and had never been to Italy. So I and a friend visited Naples. I loved it. It is way less gentrified than other cities ,it is of course tough too in parts. Good people. 🇮🇹

  @@charlottewolery558 Paris is pretty in some ways still. But it is destroyed by mass immigration and migrant crimes, foul and litter everywhere. Very sad. Almost like it's being done on purpose like in Detroit or Philadelphia.

  @@MrSpookyLover actually I don't know. I am a very poor American who's never been to Europe. All I know by reputation is the rest of France hates Paris because France is overly centralized so Paris not only is super high handed but sucks up all resources, including good paying jobs. If I were to go I'd either want to explore the Normandy/Brittany regions along the western English channel coast or the Rhone Valley in the south, largely because I'm interested in the Ancient Greek colonies and early Roman settlements. You might want to look up an Infographics show called why 1/3 of France is empty. In theory that might be a good spot being both cheap and not lousy with tourists if you find something you want to see there. If you live in America I think you could walk in and consult with a AAA travel specialist. They had these big, thorough travel guides in the 90s that had all manner of accommodations and off beat tourist sites that sounded real interesting, and certainly helped me and my mom when we went to DC in 2006 when I graduated college. Found places like Roosevelt Island, which if anything is famous for being the location of the Anchorage Memorial in Fallout 3. It's a very secluded, wooded place and I enjoyed it very much. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful
