    I am really glad that you are making videos about Romania, and making my country more popular, since we're not a very known country, but I doubt that this is Romania's most remote village. The most remote villages of this country barely have paved roads if any. :)

    The hotel is italian (that's why it's called that, obviously :) part of the italian "Select Hotels Group". So it has nothing to do with the communist era

    Saying polenta hasn't got flavour is like saying bread doesn't have flavour. It doesn't because it's served instead of bread. You have to eat polenta with something... :)

    I like you videos. I have visited Moldova every summer for 8 years and I have always paid with cards for gas, never been a problem. No problems with roundabouts. There are many ATM machines in Chișinău, so getting cash is not a problem either.

    Interesting fact: the original grand station in Timisoara with beautiful architecture was bombed by the US army during ww2. The communist rebuild a brutalist one ...and last 30-40 years govs did not bother just with small renovations. The city canot build/renovate where CFR has property. The one in Arad was restored beautifully. Not soviet... as u probably know now. The hunger train is nicknamed the train from Timisoara to Iași (Cluj is in the way) because there where usually poorer moldavians going back home on it.

    Why didn't you try to go to Ukraine too, instead of back to Romania? I understand it's a warzone, but from what I know the Western regions are mostly safe. 🤔 A quick trip to Odessa might've been semi-safe too.

    In Bucovina you can visit the painted monasteries: Gura Humorului, Voronet, Moldovita, Sucevita, Putna. You can stop at Marginea, where you can find a local pottery shop, with black ceramics made with local clay. Also you can visit Suceava fortress. But you need a car. Or you can go to Neamt fortress and the monasteries with a lot of old relics adorned in jewels: Neamt, Secu, Sihastria, Sihla (here you can find a cave where lived Saint Teodora), Agapia. All of them are at least 500 years old.

    Many Europeans from the Eastern part (like Romanians) would probably feel extremely uncomfortable in a place with pictures of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, or the hammer and sickle symbol. I assume it would be similar to what Jewish people would feel in a room full of pictures of Hitler and his henchmen, and the swastika flag. They are harmless inanimate symbols but they evoke a whole lot of suffering and death. But ultimately it's history and it should be preserved, and I'm glad someone is doing it.

  • @DacianRider
    @DacianRider2 күн бұрын

    as a Romanian, yes. you are correct... minus the " should be preserved " part. it's a land still occupied by the the criminal reds. & it needs liberating... not CELEBRATING ! get that in your Western heads.

  • @mimisor66
