Breaking Wood

Breaking Wood

Heisenberg Forest Products is family owned and operated. For us cutting firewood is not just a job. It's about being outdoors, working with nature and being self-reliant. Nothing beats the satisfaction of standing back and admiring that big pile of wood we just cut! We only sell clean, quality firewood which is cut, split and corded by hand. We only buy the highest quality logs from local distributors. We sell our wood by the face cord. A face cord measures 43 cubic feet. Each log measures approximately 16" in length. Our wood is stacked 4 feet high and eight feet long in a single row. The price for a face cord of wood varies by the type of wood and the time of year the wood is being sold. Contact us for availability and pricing.

You definitely have a big woodyard. You need something on the side to keep them from falling over. Maybe t-posts with pallets over them sideways

I stack all my logs the correct way for the processor too, butt to the wedge. I have 3 log rows so I also stack them by diameter so that I can run the 4 way or 6 way wedge depending on diameter. This makes it easier to keep the splits a consistent size. My log yard is also wet as heck and today I just finished processing all the logs I have on hand so it's time to expand the yard. I have lots of room but everything just needs organized better for flow of logs and splits. I drove thru Verner a couple weeks ago travelling from Manitoulin Island to North Bay for work. I wanted to stop at Kate's but was in a rush. Great place to eat. Hoping you have a freeze up soon.

Nice woodyard!! , let me share some advise I got from a old man when I got in the firewood business, be intolerant towards difficult customers as they cannot be satisfied, if its not the scale or the moisture content it will be something else and they will badmouth you anyway. Most of the time firewood is a sellers market as it runs out every year😢You can chose your customers😊.

  • @BreakingWood68
