We lived 8 or so houses down from Har Mar on County Road B when this tornado hit. I was 5 so I don’t remember much, but I do remember gawkers and the sound of the tornado as we ran into the basement.

I was watching the last episode when Clarabelle says "Goodbye kids." You can actually hear the sobbing from the peanut gallery! It was loud enough to be picked up from the boom mic!

Years later Ventura finally revealed in interviews that he had forgone a second term as governor out of concern for his wife's health. Truly admirable and the exact opposite of what most politicians today do (go for more power no matter what the cost). IMO Ventura embodied the original intent of a public servant position as our Founders envisioned it - it was supposed to be a civic duty, not a career to enrich yourself. Props to you Mr. Body!

That bear went total Spanish fighting bull on that big red car. Probably heard the rumor about how "the bull hooks up but the bear swipes down," and thought, "Nobody ever said anything about no HEAD-BUTTING, tho!"

they also won an NBL championship in 1948 that one don't count. u count that they won 6 in 7 years from 48 to 54. they were originally called the Detroit Gems but only had 4 wins in just one year 1946

At 38:31 of the video Jack Buck mentions that hit would inspire the Cowboys defense. Now that is the football I remember. At 40:26, Bill 'Boom Boom' Brown comes into the play. Brown has my admiration for the way he played football. Bill definitely added character to the Vikings. I can understand why Paul Krause is holding the ball forFred Cox; at 45:13, on the point after try. Krause holds the NFL all-time record for interceptions (81). Those are some sure hands. Paul is another vital reason for what makes me a fan of these Minnesota Vikings.

It seems that all of Hogan's major opponents were better wrestlers than Hogan. Blackwell sells, Blackwell wobbles, Blackwell takes the bumps. Blackwell makes Hogan look, dare i say, almost competent

My girlfriend (now wife) used to work at the Super America on Rice Street and Front and he'd always come in since he usually was in that area. Winter 2004, I gave him a US Army sleeping bag, a field jacket with liner, a brand new set of boots, pack of shirts, socks and drawers as well as arctic mittens and a thermos full of hot coffee. I wished him Merry Christmas and he replied "God bless you". Sad that he's gone, but he will never be forgotten

I grew up on the 80s/90s going there. As kids it was a hang out spot away from adults. My dad and i would bike ride, stop and run down and up the stairs. Good memories.

I was trying to find the old newscaster from the late sixties early seventies in minneapolis, Don Mcdougall. Then I found this archive show. I'm sixty four years old I love nostalgia. All this technology computer stuff, It's the Jetson's. I'm Flintstones material. Yabba dadda doo channel five.😅 Let's not forget Casey Jones and Roundhouse Rodney. Plus Mel Jazz. I met him in Mound in nineteen seventy four at a little's gas station. He was driving a cadillac convertible and he was drunk. I went on Clancy the cop show when I was 8 for my birthday. My cousin and I were on the top bleachers and leaned back on the wall, and it almost toppled over. It was a painted canvas wall. Knocked my Raisin Ranger cowboy hat off. Ah-Nostalgia😊

Great memories. We got a TV in 1959 or so. I watched axel every day until I found Mel Jazz's Afternoon Matinee. I saw most 2nd runs of movies of 40s and 50s. What brings Axel up for me is his birthday song. " Happy Happy Birthday to every girl and boy. Hope this very special day brings you lots of joy, Hope your birthday presents you get from mom and dad, Will make this very special day the best you ever had.
