The only thing that seams to be an issue for me is seizing up front brake callipers. I have 2 sets, one pair on the bike, and a second pair in a box. Then when one piston seizes up I can just take it off and fit a good one, and send the stuck one away to be fixed.

MOT'S are static mate, they shouldn't be riding your bike in an MOT, the only time they should test it is after replacing a part and that is with your permission first
