  How do you start back from 1 (start over) if you accidentally messed with the splitter on a peterbilt and weren’t taught 18 speed. I only know how to drive a 10 speed, freightliner. Just started driving a peterbilt.

  Lol you have 2 gears in low with the split making 18...reverse is never included in the forward number of gears...go back to driving school and maybe actually learn how things work and far as driving someone else's rickety truck had my own and would never let my shift linkage get that sloppy

  Second, that motion for every comment. I'm looking at the transition from always a 10 speed to next lvl. And thankfully, this came recommendationed. Standard H pattern, splitting every gear. Can't beat the instruction in this video. Quick simple and straight to the point. No fluff.

  Its not 16 gears + low + reverse its 18 foward gears 10 low range and 8 high range and 4 reverse gears 13 speed is 5 low range 8 high range and 3 reverse gears and 10 are 5-5-2

  Awesome vid man, what happens during downshifting from say High 2 to Low 2? Is it same thing, let off throttle and it automatically does it? Or do you have to use the clutch to revmatch it?

  If you have to get out of gear You said 45-7th 35-6th 25-5th would you have splitter in low at those speeds, when getting back in gear? Thx

  So same as a Volvo 16speed box with range change and splitter but with a low gear and reverse making the fuller an 18👍

  Just reconnected with my dad after 18 years. Had a good few days with him, but drove him back to the truck stop and he showed me inside the truck. I drive a manual and have for over 10 years but was confused on how this worked. Thanks for the explanation, gonna call him and ask him so more questions 😂
