What the show fails to explain is the total weight or mass of the split U235 atom into XE and ZR is lighter than the original U235 atom. That missing mass has been turned into pure Energy by Einstein’s famous equation E = MC squared. Since mass gets multiplied by the speed of light squared, it’s a big number!

In 3 billion years no living thing will be on earth unless we figure out how to somehow safely move it away from the expanding dying sun that would cook the earth if still in its current orbit. The temperature by that point would boil all of the oceans away.
