I enjoyed this video! I’m getting ready for my first professional show right now so I found this very interesting. May I ask, did you write the title of your pieces on the wood frame of the canvas? That seems like it would be a good way to do it. I have certificates I’ll include with my originals for sale but I like the idea for a more permanent identifier. Thanks for sharing this experience, hope it goes well for you, your work is lovely.
@@WendyDewarHughes Great suggestions, I will check out what’s going to the show to see how to incorporate these ideas. I ordered a stamp for my prints that says”All copyright/reproduction rights reserved”, I think that will be useful, but for canvases, I like the way you do it. Hope your gallery experience is full of joy for you!

Anyway, wanted to say thanks and to recommend a book titled Eat Cake by Jeanne Ray. She also wrote Step, Ball, Change and Julie and Romeo. If you haven’t read her, you might want to give her a try. I guess at this stage of my life after major life threatening illness for years with health issues I just love the peace of reflection and contemplation. I don't want any drama. I have just found glue books which is really a lovely art form only I struggle to find images as I can't afford magazines. I love being with my boys but they have their own lives and so I do my craft and art and spend time in contemplation. I don't seek out friends too much because I am quite happy to be at home.

Thank you! I signed the front, bottom right, as usual. I also put the title and signed again on the back of the canvas where it wraps the wood frame. I also wrote a copyright notice like this: © Copyright Wendy Dewar Hughes 2024. All reproduction rights reserved. That way the purchaser of the original can't make and/or sell copies. I take good photos of each piece so I can make reproductions and use my art however I want. I hope that helps. All the best for your show!
