I have this exact looking motor on a drill press. When I power it on it hums a little at 0 speed but if I try to increase the speed it shuts my whole press off due to some kind of over temp protection.

Which grit sandpaper do you use? I'm trying to fix my vacuum cleaner motor.
@firststep775010 сағат бұрын
So I switched on my vacuum and it began to smoke. I checked the commutator bars with the lowest resistance and in the four of the tests the resistence couldn't settle on a reading: it would spikes and even show "OL". I didn't need to test given the smoking issue but wanted to know where the problem was. Thanks for the this lesson. It was straight to the point.

I had to do this so many times. I would rent a movie and poof, dirty as sin once again. I left the lid on loose for a quickie. All changed as we moved into cd’s and dvd’s. A month into my new CD player and I dropped it mucking around with a new set of speakers. Laser reader wasn’t going to comply, but I spun the worm gear until the laser module reached the end of the rail and made it jump a tooth. Turn on the power and it goes back and plays once again. Countless times with my PS1 because of cats…

Wow!! I had housecleaners in today, who have always done a great job, and when they left I noticed not a smudge, but a scratch on my bathroom mirror! I was pretty upset. I just went in and tried the first solution, a bit of toothpaste on a microfiber towel, rubbed for about 20 seconds, and it was gone. I can't see it at all anymore. I am THRILLED. Thank you so much! Just for anyone's information, I used my nanohydroxyapatite toothpaste, originally developed by NASA, as I understand, and the first thing it does in your mouth is heal cracks. I know it's worked in my mouth to heal tiny fractures in my teeth, so I'm not surprised it worked on my mirror.
