Well done Adze for sorting Herman. Happy birthday Zoe 🎉🎈🎁🎂
Happy birthday Zoe👍👍🍺🍺
Hello , happy Birthday Zoe xx
Hi both of you. Happy birthday Zoe 🎂💐stay safe 👍
Hi
Bedale looked a lovely place to stay. Hope Zoe enjoyed her birthday milkshake. I’m glad you fixed the engine issue. Take care Gill
Happy Birthday Zoe ,still the funniest You Tuber X
Happy belated birthday Zoe . I had the same once on our starfire hose came off.
Thanks @henrybarnett1063 👍👍
Well done that man. 👍The pip that came off was the turbo pipe from the intercooler. It happens to a lot of vehicles with turbo .what happens is the rubber pipe tends settle and then the clip is loose it need checking at both ends every now and again to make sure they're tight. Which is why put spring loaded clips on these days.
Spot on unless you have a Jaguar XF and the intercooler union just blows open along the seam
But we don't have a turbo, @Bob-thenomad
@@HermanHitstheRoad What engine is in Herman? My 2000 B584 has the 2.8JTD which does have a turbo.
@dburgess287 ours is a 1998 2.5 Diesel, no turbo
Bedale is nice. Used to go there regularly in the late 90's when I was at RAF Leeming in the RAF. Glad you sorted your breakdown out.
Thanks @Andy.Gledhill.Models. 👍👍
To paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction; "Milkshake. The cornerstone of any nutritious diet..."
Yes, it is. Thanks @HerbertDuckshort 👍👍
Breaking down on Motorway having to looking out for idiots and trying to fix the Motorhome must have been stressful.
That looks to be an intercooler pipe feeding air to the engine/ turbo that hose clamp needs to be good and tight.
We don't have a turbo, @tomryall3. It appears to go to the top of the engine
We had that with Nessa. Except we had a split that looked like it had been sliced it was so neat. That was our intercool hose. So with panel adhesive super glue and duck tape I fixed it. Then ordered a new hose for when we got home. Goes straight into limp mode and it’s fun when you get near a hill. Nessa was no stranger to limp mode. Hopefully with the new gearbox that will be a thing of the past. Bedale is lovely. May have to check out the campsite for future trip planning.
Poor Nessa. Is she OK now, @simon_w74? Everything sorted?
@@HermanHitstheRoadso far she is better on fuel from our one trip out this year. Will be interesting to see how good she is one fuel when we go on to Mull this Summer. Just had to change leisure battery. Went for a Lithium Phosphate battery so will see how that goes as I don’t know how the old analog panel will get on with a battery that more power can be drawn from. Not a bad thing if it still only allows half usage like before. Shouldn’t have an issue as we have solar and quite low consumption. Will be also interesting to see if we can do Mull and back without any mechanical issues popping up. As we haven’t managed it yet. Hopefully this will be the first time. Still it adds a bit of excitement to the journey if we do have something to fix. Old A Classes fun and games I guess.
Wow! Bedale, That's where I lived as a child. Garden Cottage. Always and never fail to travel back to there every time we are travelling. Travelled to Manchester to collect my wife from her 5 week travel's to China. Stopped off at York, Bedale, Burrill, Whitby, Saltburn-by-the Sea and then home. I just love the place. Bedale that is.
Fantastic place, @tstuart7333 👍👍. Thanks for commenting
Hi. Did you leave the senter rubber ring on the top of the filter, or did you put IT on the senter Axel? I tried with the senter rubber ring on the filter, but IT was hard to tighten by hand.
Stopped listening to LBC due to their crazy bias
Thanks for commenting, @Travels_in_nuevo but I'm not sure why you've mention LBC !
Looks like a great weekend, shame we couldn’t make it. But will hopefully do the next one! Any plans for an Autumn one? Cheesecake looks tasty! Em 💜
Thanks for commenting, @vansforthememories. It was a great weekend. Everyone mucked in to make it successful. I'm planning on going back to Roundhill Campsite, New Forest next year.
Great weekend, the weather could not spoil it
Exactly, @motoringmasons 👍👍. Thanks for coming
@@HermanHitstheRoad We put our video up last night, hope you like it. Sha and Alan
It was a fantastic weekend. The bike ride was fun until the electrics and gears played up on my bike and I ran out of steam. 😂 Bingo, quiz and food in the rain were brilliant. So glad we had Max groomed he went from Scruffiest last year to cutest this. Thank you for organising and we look forward to next years. Take care Gill, Steve and Max
We're really glad you enjoyed yourselves, Gill, Steve and Max. From scruffiest to the cutest? Wow! That is an improvement 👍👍
We were very glad we came and we are glad we discovered Caravan Radio - Mike and Sarah are legends! Well done on organising such a successful event!
It was good to see you again, @DolittleCampers. We're glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍
Really sorry we didn't make Hermanfest this year. We traded our moho in for a new caravan and didn't fancy towing that far. We now have a camper too and hopefully next year we will be back. Abbey missed seeing all her friends as well especially you two. Julie Andy & Abbey cute dog.
Shame you couldn't make it, @Julieandysaceventures. Maybe next year 👍👍
looked like a great get together cakes looked great well done on th cheese cake all the best donny
Thanks 👍, @donnysweekendvanlifetravel7854
It was great to be part of it, shame my migraine got in the way of all the fun.
Thanks for coming, @vauxhallmechanic. Yeah, shame about your migraine
Adz. Be kind to yourself. Buy a whisk?
Haha!! I have an electric whisk but I forgot to bring it with us, @HerbertDuckshort
Look up Nigella’s white chocolate cheesecake - doddle and no whisking or gelatine!
That cycle route is the salterns way. It’s a great cycle path. Love the channel 😊
Thanks @davedodi5376 👍👍
You make amazing videos, and i have watched alot of them :) Thank you for it and Its inspiring me to buy a moterhome. You are using a 26 years old Hymer, how is it going mechanically ? What speed you can drive it ? can it go upto 100 or 110 km/h speeds ? i am looking into buying the similar Hymer probably 2000 model, do you think it make sense to buy it in 2024 ? other option which i m thinking is an overcab moterhome. We are family of four so we need seats and sleeping place for 2 kids and 2 adults. i want to have not too large size, easy to drive and manover, and strong enough to climb norwegian mountains. What do you recommend for a family of four to have their first moterhome, which is relatively cheap and reliable ?
Thanks @sohailzafar4430 👍 Mechanical we've changed a few things like the suspension and brakes. I drive on motorways at 70 mph. It's not very fast but it eventually gets us there. It doesn't like hills being only a 2.5 diesel with no turbo. It is a 4 birth with 6 seat belts but 4 people is cramped. You could rent a motorhome first to see if you do like that sort of holiday and it might give you an idea of whether your family will fit in a motorhome. I hope that helps? 👍👍
Yes sorry Ads could have shoved it in a bit tighter 5-6 inches is a premium in this case
Thanks for commenting, @thatfenderbloke
My step motor doing the same thing. It’s relatively new as well (1year old) so will try this and let you know how it goes get on. Hymer 534, year 2000
Good luck with your step, @03Timm. Yes, let me know how you get on 👍👍
Makes no sense without solar feeding the ecoflow
True but the test was to find out how long we could last on one charge, @jxpat
Am i the only one who doesn't care about the law all that much
Probably, @techtitanuk5609
The thing is. Too low rpm’s in fifth will starve the gear of oil as the gear sits outside the gearbox and relies on enough rpm’s to "fling” or carry the oil over to the gear. Hitting 50 is irrelevant, high enough rpm’s before putting a load on the gear is the fix.
Thanks for the info, @kjartanbeate 👍👍
Hey . Try to used the delta 2 max with 2 extra battery and have two 400 watt solar panel on the roof of your rv. That should be enough power on board to run all day and all night .
Thanks, but the test was to find out how long we could last on one charge, @gabriellobo25. Also, I only had what I had
Love that clever out of the box idea with the bathroom wall moving out of the way!
I was amazed too, @susanjennings4113
Very helpful, time will tell how easy it is.but thanks
No problem. Thanks for commenting, @alistairwilson-fi7mv. I hope you find it simple?
Hi Ad, can I ask you a question please. Have you ever looked into needing or getting an exhaust? If so do you have any advice on where to purchase a Hymer 2004 b544 2.8 jtd from. Ours has just failed it mot today 😢. I do watch all your videos but don’t recall seeing one cheers Sue.
Hi Sue, I fitted Herman's a couple of years ago. No video. I bought it from Coastal Motorhomes
