Very cool. Thanks for the input. I'll be starting the process of my 4x4 rebuild/conversation just as soon as I can find the one I want to buy. I guess the Chevy Duramax C4500 6.6 turbo diesel 4x4 is a scarce item. Perseverance pays off. And thanks to you as well as everyone else who has shared their build here, I'm ready to get my project started with confidence. I'll be starting my channel here soon, and thanks again. Very nice work. See ya 'round...laterz. Choperz...out

This is a very nice build, clean lines, highly functional, love the slat bed - best model for an Amby, and love that you kept original metal cabinets. Well done!! What a beautiful and spacious rig, wow! Some tips: 1. Show the bed open not just closed. 2. No music. NO music. NO MUSIC!!! It ruins the tour, demos, DIYs, and just about everything. The video brought us here, the music will chase us out. 3. Slow down. Really, really slow down. I watched the last bit - finished product - and even on 0.25 lowest speed it was zooming around too fast. It should pan painfully slowly, giving us time to absorb details. 4. Time lapse is not good. Makes viewers dizzy and they don't see anything. A slow slide show is much better. Faster upload too. Thanks for keeping the focus on the van, not the man. Always the best way. Excellent job on build, superb!

Pretty nice job on your build. You retained the structural integrity of the patient compartment to the point where I think the factory would approve. The Diamond plate walls are................. something you won't see in a certified MEDIC/AID/AMBULANCE but it does say that this rig is a MAN'S RIG. I didn't see any water tanks but you can install a pair of 100 gallon fresh water tanks under the patient compartment bolted to the frame ahead of the rear wheels. Grey water can go on the right side ahead of the curbside door. Yes, I/we have built a rig to go with the mutual aid crews. If I can get it for a week I will add an additional fresh water tank for the shower and rebuild the shower to recirculating its water. And replace the cushions. Good job on a very safe build

A tip to heat water lines, Run a hose to a "Y" from your heater. Pick a size 1 1/4 or 1 1/2" Then run your pex water hose inside that. Run the hose to the tank. Y off back to the inside of the camper. maybe an outside cabinet you want to heat a little. Your heater will blow air through the big hose from your heater and blow it back into the inside of the camper. Heating the hose and the camper. We do this with sump pump discharge pipes here in Chicago IL. Here are some of "my camping" meals I can share with you. @6eEQ Please comment let me know what you think.
