Belated Cast On Tip!!! Use stitch markers to keep track of how many stitches you have cast on :) I put a stitch marker on every 10 stitches, and try to mark off major numbers where needed (50, 100, etc).

There is so much negativity in the world. It amazes me when people say such negative things about me and they don’t know me. You have to be so intentional about keeping yourself positive since the world is so negative. Your video on notions and supplies were on point. You were not judgmental, only helpful for those who are new to the craft.

WOAH! I didn’t know your leg tattoos were that big omg haha! I feel like you kind of almost answered your own question in the same video In the begging you mentioned a struggle with caring what others think about you, but towards the end (around 27:49) you mentioned how you’re confident and it’s your tattoos and how you wouldn’t let someone else’s opinion influence your tattoos. I think you have to be very strong in what you believe in to (like the way you are with having tattoos) to not care about people’s opinions. I think maybe if you care a lot about what people’s opinions are, then to some degree you subconsciously agree with their opinion, whether you like it or not.

For a yarn recommendation, try the beginner yarn. Like the ones that don’t have multiple strands. This is because I know one of the big struggles for people who are learning to crochet is not fully grabbing all the yarn in there hook. But I also know people who hate the feeling of it. (I don’t knit, so it might not work for that)

Something that's an "essential" for me is a notebook with 3 sections. It has blank pages, lined pages, and grid or graphing paper pages. I crochet granny squares and mandalas quite a bit and I've never needed a blocking board but I would like to get one to see if it helps make my finished projects look more professional. Another (maybe weird) essential that I need for following patterns is clear page protectors. I print off the pattern.. stick it in the page protectors and write notes with dry erase markers. When I'm done I can erase my note or leave them, and add the pattern to my 3-ring binder of patterns.

I've told you once before.... your vibe is such I could hang out with you all day! That cover-up is so well made to fit you... great job on the execution of crocheting yourself a dress/coverup!! Now as to how ya started it out, we've been there, most of us! I started crocheting after knitting and I was so used to doing things my own way it carried over into the crochet part as well. I don't think I read patterns in crochet until my 4th or 5th project.... and that was a ripple blanket. So you learned something valuable and now the inspiration is on point, I love it!!

I think the dress turned out lovely! I've been a bit out of it lately, hence the lack of comments on the past two videos (I'll get to it as soon as I get the motivation)... I haven't crocheted anything in quite some time now. I should be working on the backbag for my grandmother. The yarn is just quite the strain on my hands and I'm already dreading the sowing for the lining. I'm going on a trip soon, so I'll surely bring along something to crochet. I would also really like to make a skirt or dress for myself. Although I do find the idea of a wrap-skirt the most appealing. Alright, my brain is starting to think of too many things right now, so I'll conclude this comment!
