@jodydavison33 3 years ago they made a "temporary" closure of those beautiful water impoundment areas alongside D Canal Rd..... seems those "temporary" closures are now permanent as they have never been re-opened since. Last year for the first time that I can remember, they closed winter public access to N Lake rd........it is again closed for winter this year. This summer they closed the FieldsRd area to all public access - supposedly till they can trap and collar the juvenile wolves, but I fear that it will be just an excuse to make it a permanent closure just like they did with the water impoundments. 😕

A marble salamander, very cool. I started walking the trails when I visited. I needed bug spray though!

@@jodydavison33 yes it was so cool because that particular salamander hadn’t been logged in that area from what I remember it’s been 27 years lol

Nice video but the bears are eating soybeans at Pocosin Lakes NWR. I go there often so I am very familiar with the crop rotation.

Glad you enjoyed it. I've heard this bird everywhere this spring! Its call is so distinctive and cheerful, yet he is so tiny and constantly in motion, it was very difficult to get a nice shot of him. Please subscribe. I will upload more content. It's fun!
