    Excuse my not video related question but I think you are the most qualified to answer it :) Do you think the video quality 24p vs 60p is the same? Or do you think 60p may downgrade video quality? I am thinking specifically about sony x3000. But I keep wondering if higher framerate (up to 60fps) may downgrade video quality.

    @tgchan I was looking into something related to your question🧐 In conclusion, I think that at 60p, the image quality may deteriorate when viewed as a still image🤔 I think there are two reasons for this. (1) The ISO sensitivity may increase due to the high shutter speed (especially in low light environments). (2) The image quality may be a little highly compressed when encoded. I think you can understand (1). The problem is about (2). As you know, on the X3000, 24p and 60p have the same bit rate (50mbps). I was wondering about this🤔 At first glance, the image quality seems to be the same. Videos that can be recorded with this camera are compressed in a format called Long GOP. Long GOP consists of frames such as "I frames", "P frames", and "B frames". I frames record the entire screen like JPG. P frames and B frames record differences, etc. I frames take up the most space. I shot 4 seconds of footage with XAVC-60p and XAVC-24p on the X3000 and examined the footage with a tool called ffprobe. (This is my first time using it, so I may not be using it correctly...😅) The results showed that there were the same number of I frames in both 60p and 24p. All other frames were P frames, and there were no B frames. XAVC-60p (29.7 MB) Total number of frames: 270 (I frames: 9 / P frames: 261) XAVC-24p (27.1MB) Total number of frames: 108 (I frames: 9 / P frames: 99) And both are almost the same capacity. At least the catalog specs say they have the same bitrate. My guess is that the I frames in 60p, especially the many P frames, are compressed more than in 24p to adjust them to the same bitrate as 24p🤔 That said, at first glance, the image quality of both seems to be almost the same😅

  • @tgchan
    @tgchan17 күн бұрын

    @@BikeFunJapan Haha yea. I read about compression and the same bitrate for different amount of fps. I have just recorded 6 different short videos to see for the video quality of: 25fps- no stab 25fps- std. 25fps- act. 50fps- no stab. 50fps- std. 50fps- act. Se which is the sharpest and nicest but also how much active (digital) stabilisation degrades the video quality. There are videos about it but... I just wanted to see myself the results before yt compression. It is probably minimal but yea... I need to know :) P.S. Are you excited/awaiting DJI Action 5? It may finally dethrone my sony x3000 :) Can't wait for it and I hope the sensor will be as good as in pocket 3/ Health and Happiness to You from Poland/ EDIT: Didn't see much except for hardcore differences like no stab. vs stab or active. Or 50fps vs 25fps. Just pick whatever you need. Or how much light you may need (lower fps = more light in. For someone who may read this in future.)

    I have had 3 supposedly high-end monitors returned to their manufacturer due to light leaks. I was looking for information and it seems that this is normal in IPS monitors, but an EIZO salesperson told me that in the monitors they manufactured there were no light leaks but I have my doubts. Can you confirm that the EV2485 model with the room in darkness does not actually have light leaks? Before purchasing I would like to ensure this information

  • @BikeFunJapan

    I tried displaying a pitch black image full screen in Photoshop and making the room pitch black to check🧐 This is the level I checked with my amateur eyes, but I think it's almost non-existent. Eizo seems to have better quality control than other affordable manufacturer's monitors. I think that's why the price is high. I remember reading in some article or online article that the color unevenness is less compared to other manufacturers🤔

    Do you have any issue with color shifting with Kenko Variable NDXII or does it keep the true color of image?

  • @BikeFunJapan
    @BikeFunJapan4 ай бұрын

    I think this Kenko variable ND is an excellent product among variable NDs. So, compared to other cheap products, I think the color shift problem is less🤔 However, since it is a variable ND after all, increasing the ND will cause vignetting on the cross and a blue color shift. (As per the video. 00:31)😓 In addition, other problems specific to variable ND naturally occur with this Kenko filter😢 - In the case of wide-angle lenses, vignetting on this cross occurs quickly. For example, with a 20mm lens, the usable ND range is quite narrow. ・When taking pictures of LCD screens, etc., rainbow-colored false colors may be reflected. In the end, I don't use this expensive variable ND at all these days...😓 I use a magnetic ND filter instead. At first I used K&F Concept's one, but now I use Marumi’s one☺️

  • @arsenal_tackle_fishing

    @@BikeFunJapan Which Maruimi model do you use? I heard great things about Marumi lens filters! The kenko ndx ii is 30,000 Yen which is pretty expensive. This includes adapters, caps, ND2, ND4, ND8, ND16☺️ As far as I researched last year, Marumi was the only magnetic filter that offered ND2🧐 I don't know if this is available internationally, so I don't know if you can purchase it in your region, but I highly recommend it😊

    Why does a monitor worth almost €600 have such a low Referesco Rate? Today most monitors are 120hz, and this one, which is considered a professional monitor, only has 60hz????

  • @BikeFunJapan

    I didn't know that modern monitors were 120hz😮 However, since I don't play games, 60Hz is all I need. If I run it at 120Hz on a 120Hz monitor, I'll be concerned about the effect that GPU power will be taken up during editing, and above all, whether the colors will come out beautifully🤔

    Thank you for your comment! Since it was a rambling video, I was curious about what kind of impression it would give🤔 I didn't use an ND filter because I wanted to take a quick vlog. There is also a reason that it will probably conflict with the wide-angle adapter of DJI Pocket 3. However, it still ends up looking a bit flicker😓 The food is at the lowest class restaurant. I think both of these are very similar if not using the stabilization and flip up screen (which I wont). There are a couple shots i noticed where the rxo ii looks like it retains a little more color but thats with very long inspection. What are your thoughts? Do you think that the rxo ii has better image quality (no stabilization)?

  • @BikeFunJapan
    @BikeFunJapan5 ай бұрын

    I think the hardware (sensor, lens) involved in these two types of photography is the same. So I think the image quality is the same🤔 (If you feel that the image quality is different after watching this video: RX0II uses electronic image stabilization, so if you use it, the angle of view will be narrower. Simply put, this means that you are shooting with a smaller sensor size. As a result, the image quality will decrease.) In the RX0II, the video processing functions have been updated internally (4K internal recording, electronic image stabilization), and the monitor is now movable, so I think that's about the only change. The RX0II is equipped with an electronic level that the RX0 did not have, but I think this is probably due to the addition of a gyro to perform electronic image stabilization. If you don't need 4K internal recording or electronic image stabilization, the RX0 may be fine🤔

  • @KcCake
    @KcCake5 ай бұрын

    @@BikeFunJapan i realized the 4k internal and the fact that the rx0 doesnt have it is quite sad. The screen and eis dont matter to me but for almost $200 cheaper, i may just have to record to an external flash drive.

  • @EdisonBryan

    I love your videos. Do you like vlogging with it, like the FDR X3000?

  • @BikeFunJapan
    @BikeFunJapan5 ай бұрын

    Thank you!😊 To be honest, I don't think the RX0 is suitable for Vlogging...🤔 There are two main reasons✌️ One is that there is no continuous AF. Honestly, I think this is fatal for Vlogs. Second, the image stabilization is weak. This camera doesn't have optical image stabilization, so you have to rely on electronic image stabilization. But electronic image stabilization requires an extra angle of view, so you need an ultra-wide angle of view. But this camera doesn't have that kind of angle of view. Therefore, it is better to shoot stationary (handheld or using a tripod), or use a motorized gimbal if you want to shoot while walking.

    Oh, you got the OP3, nice. I have an RX0 II and I haven't changed it yet since it does everything I want. But the new OP3 makes me rethink that with better stabe, wider and brighter lens and 10 bi. If you do a comparison between them could you test the low light, 10 bit vs 8 bit color, stabe and photos? I do a lot of timelapses and since so many reviews focus only on video I have no idea how it behaves. Thanks.

  • @BikeFunJapan

    Thank you for your comment☺️ I think it would be difficult to compare the RX02 and Pocket3 because their basic camera concepts are different. It is probably assumed that the RX02 will be used fixed on a tripod, etc. On the other hand, I think Pocket3 is meant to be used while moving (and handheld)🤔 Regarding 10bit, it is basically effective with Log shooting. So, the most effective comparison will be RX02 with 8bit in S-Log and Pocket3 with 10bit in D-LogM. Conversely, if RX02 with 8bit in Rec709, and Pocket3 with 10bit in Rec709, I think Pocket3's 10bit hasn't many benefits🤔
