That is exactly the problem - people think start to think that buddhism is a some kind of a last chance cafe, a safety boat. That Rinpoches are chosen ones who makes no mistakes and who's life is perfect. I also was a victim of such mindset when I just started my path as I was young and naive. It is not about leave samsara or be against it. Its about to try to deal with it and anyway find a courage to first help yourself and then maybe to try to help to others too.

Wow. I enjoyed seeing this Kalu Rinpoche in NYC while he was touring with Bokar Rinpoche. He was still a child, and I gave him a teddy bear. I am saddened to hear of the abuse he endured. He has traveled across troubled waters and now contributes nobly to living beings. The previous Kalu Rinpoche was exposed as a sexual abuser, so I hope that the current Kalu Rinpoche brings an end to the cycle of abuse in this lineage. I applaud his bravery and perseverance on the path.

Bravo, Kalu - I remember when you were having difficulties some years back, as you posted photos of your life (in US?) - so easy to get lost and lose touch with our loved ones - as you were only a teenager. You must've seen others struggle at that time. You seem so much healthier now - you are a wonderful human - and so much more.
