I love watching vlogs of other artists and learn about their process of making art and having a business..so I thought, why don't I try too?
I'm a freelance illustrator and student at the Master in Children's book illustration at the Cambridge University of Art. Here in this channel, I'm going to document my days as an illustrator and share my creative journey along with some tips!

I live in America in Washington state- pacific NW and I too find it a bit intimidating to draw people in public places, but I enjoy it so much, too. I draw animals mostly and beaches with marine life. It is Monday April 17th 2023 now 🎉

Writing the comment as I watch along, hope it's not too long...: 2022: 40% Takings after costs is AMAZING so congrats on that!! <3 I still don't know what im doing so don't worry lol Love all the charts and transparency, conventions are definitely my main income too and I pretty much work just towards that! Would love a more in depth comparison between markets/cons and online! Online is so time consuming in comparison to events for me too so agree, doing so many cons you just know what you're doing table to table for setup :) Social media I'm the same (and I love it), not having to rely on it is wonderful when I do events. I use etsy for my online shop and am thankful people just stumble on works there too I HATE how video format is becoming the norm on other social medias, just appreciate the still images we make!! ;; Money is part of business, so don't feel bad about it. You need to live! <3 The enamel pin club seems fair, it'd be hard to make that exclusive!! It's hard running a business to be able to create full art illustrations so I get that, hope you get some time to soon! Love your message about every artist on a different path and how somethings might work for X but not Y! So proud of you for the illustrators awards! Your illustrations are stunning and I'm so happy for you! (Please brag tho because it's amazing and don't feel bad for bragging your works are great) Your corporate space was SO nice, at MCM you saw me oogling it haha! It was lovely :) hope to see you in May 2023: It's awesome that you're working on a picture book, I'd love to see it once it's completed! I'd also /love/ the Raccoon book...For reasons haha Glad that you're still doing markets and cons too! :D I do agree with events quality (bigger, better) not quantity, it can be so exhausting Excited for Dublin and Dusseldorf! Hope the travel process goes smooth with taking stock Japan oh my gosh, how exciting! I hope you have a lovely time! It's good to in a sense 'force' a break sometimes, I feel like we're all a little bit workaholic oops A literary agent too, thats SO exciting! I can't wait to see your own books come to life :) As an organised person, I always prefer having my whole year planned so I'm the same. Everyone is different though! "If it aint broke dont fix it" - but also love to see screen printing more too! Would love more tote bags and maybe smaller screen printed products too :) PLEASE DO SOCKS I can't wait to see more art from you when you can! Being project driven is good and I'm glad it works for you! Streaming is good as it helps me plan what to draw on twitch and I'm somewhat held responsible. Often easy to get distracted though! Would love to watch if so KZread 4000 hours is /hard/, but HUGE congrats for the 1000 followers, its a big achievement! :) KZread seems like a little video journal for you and I think that works well I'm still writing 2022 when I write dates so don't worry xD Ceramics is so lovely and hope you can find time to enjoy it, hobby of business wise ! Thanks for the lovely video!!! Goals for me are just to survive, maybe look more into wholesale, and streaming (as you know). I'd love to do better at events too, so need to maybe look more into costs with some of my higher end products...Hopefully we can both hit our goals =D (I will always support you in person AND online too! :))(Also is that a pinboard in the background with pins on? Would love to see up close...)

Those were great Jess I thought I saw an American werewolf wondering through the Liverpool station drawing. Are you familiar with Simon Stalenhag and his books, I guess His book Electric State is maybe his most famous but he takes pics and reworks them adding in digital art. It's pretty neat stuff.
