  That's why it's called a "COVER" moron! Haha Either you have an extremely small ass mind, or you don't understand or appreciate Art. It's solely an interpretation by the artist playing it. Even now people are covering Ryan Adams songs and making it their own version, not to take away from the original artist either.

  Yeah when it's stripped down to an acoustic version with just the guitar and lyrics you can really appreciate just how strong the songwriting and lyrics by Iron Maiden really are. It's easy for some people to dismiss metal genres as "not real music" because it's loud and fast, but stuff like this proves that's simply not true. A lot of metal artists are some of the most technically proficient musicians in existence.

  I've been out of the "metal community" since the mid 80's, and definitely know that Iron Maiden has song writing talent. I think most folks who truly appreciate music understand this, even if it's not the style they listen to most often. Just like I also know that Hank Williams Sr. was a very talented artist, but don't listen to his stuff much these days.
