A sick game though - controlling women for glory and self esteem because women are powerful. I grew up in the ward bros time and thought pimpin I was so cool. Not after I gained some consciousness about a bigger pimpin game initiated by the ruling class. Panthers were right.

Yo this shits low key badass! Everyone in mt family gang bang, is part of growing up and becoming a man. my dad uncle cousins brother's me all join gangs. Like if you ain't join one by the time you 16 then your not really about it. I got down at 12 and like i was locked up by 13. When my little brother got arrested for a gun and hardcore drug charges at 14 was all about it. My gf son is almost 12 and his dream in life is to be a badass gang boy and hustler and make rap and asked me about if he was old enough. I told him that its never never to soon if he serious. I told him that if he wanted to get down now he can start banging with me and my brothers cousins and family. His mom is so excited he already a little thug and she thank me for being willing to take him under my wing. Like i am so impressed that hes only in 5th grade and is already badass enough to become a man. He said that he wants to get tattoos the first time he goes to juvie cuz his friend brother is 14 and already has 5 tats On his arms and neck and a tear drop on his face. I told him that once he starts banging as soon as he gets shows he's really about thar life than id let him get a teardrop. He wanna be a the youngest person in his school with a tear drop and i told him that if he does what he's supposed to he definitely will. I'd be telling everyone yo my gf son he a straight G yo he getting a tear drop in 6th grade. Like i know a lotta people hate but i proud to have a gf with a kid so hardcore. I wish I could been a grown ass man like he is whej i was that age 😊

the Korean lady was wrong, period, & should've served a mandatory minimum of 25 yrs. in prison; all she had to do is ask the young girl what she was purchasing & then told her not to put the merchandise into her personal belongings until she pays for it. I understand the frustration of having theft problems but not everyone intends to do wrong. I hurt for that girl's family. They lost their Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter, etc. for nothing.

ive heard koreans tell this story. they say the koreans were refugees of war and trying to start over at usa. they claim black people would steal and attack asians bc black people are racist. they claim black people think its okay to steal and harm as long as the store owner is a immagrant. its interesting how different both sides r

This story made me cheer twice, but then I was sad when Sagon took his own life. Officers take our lives every day, then go on to live normal lives, but when we get justice the system collectively works against us, to make normal life extremely difficult.

He was also acquitted due to the testimony of a fellow officer, Doyle Wheeler, who confirmed that the officer who attacked Sagon Penn, namely Donovan Jacobs, was a racist and known to attack and harass black men. Three years after that, officer Wheeler, who had moved to Washington state, was attacked in his home by assailants who tortured him and tried to make him write a statement saying that he lied about Officer Jacobs, then they shot him in the head behind a pillow but luckily he moved at the last minute and the bullet missed then he played dead until they left.

Read “Baby Insane & the Buddha.” Not only is the book about a Crip who ended up flipping & participating in Operation: Blue Rag, but also has a chapter about Sagon Penn. I got & read the book in ‘94, Operation: Blue Rag & Operation: Red Rag took place in about ‘89-‘90. The book mentions, but is not limited to, Little Africa Piru, Skyline Piru, 59 Brims, Rollin’ 40s Neighborhood Crips, West Coast Crips, Linda Vista Crips, etc.

Movements always follow this pattern of starting off positive, but because they either have no defined end goal or are too accepting, it becomes corrupt by twisted members with other motives.

In the 2 months I've dived in so deeply into the gangs of LA and their culture, LA culture in general, and East LA, and South Central culture. I know many of us listen to these raps but then hear them speak when they aren't rapping. They have their own way of speaking, and many can catch words being said multiple times. I used to think it was a funny thing, and it can be but it comes from deep root of their culture. The people they around with, and how they have to do to survive. Its so interesting. Much love and respect to the people in LA.
